Afterwards, proceed to Murchison Falls National Park and hike to the top of the falls from where you will have the fascinating view of the Nile as it forces its way through the rocks and forms a very beautiful scenery. It is unquestionably adorable. Here you will see the calm Nile dropping itself through a narrow gorge to fall a gap of about 150ft down, churning out a deafening roar of white water-far-fetched scenery.
After this activity, you will have an introductory game drive on your way to your lodge. On arrival at the lodge, you will check in, relax, have dinner and have an optional campfire.
Day 2: Early morning game drive and a boat cruise in the afternoon
Today after breakfast, you will depart for an early morning game drive across the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest national park.
In the afternoon, go for a boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls, where the Nile thunders through a small 7-meter gap plunging 43 meters into the Nile on the way to Lake Albert. The banks of the Nile are densely populated with crocodiles, hippopotamus, and a range of other wildlife that come to the river to drink.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park with en-route lunch
Today you will transfer to Kibale National Park. On your journey here, you'll have stunning views and see several birdlife as you pass through small villages, towns and local markets. You will have an en-route lunch.
Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking experience and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today after your early breakfast, your guide will drive you to the park offices for briefing about chimpanzee trekking. During your trek you will have an opportunity to come up close with the chimps and capture shots of man's closest cousins in the jungle in their frenzy exciting moods grooming!
Besides the chimps 9 different species of monkeys are found in this forest, for example the red tailed monkey and bush babies. In the forest canopy-colored aviation creatures, butterflies and various bird species like the native great blue turaco, joyful greenbul, olive long tailed cuckoo and the superb black bee eater can be spotted.
After the trek you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Drive further southwards with the Rwenzori ranges (longest in Africa) view or drive through the crater lakes in the hills to sample out the surprising diversity of savannah trees and wildlife!
On arrival, you will check in the lodge and enjoy the impressive view of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 5: Mini game drive and transfer to Bwindi through Ishasha
Today morning, you will go for a mini game drive at the Ishasha sector before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Day 6: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
After breakfast, you will gather at the park headquarters for briefing at 8am and eventually start your gorilla trekking encounter. You follow the trails of your respective gorilla family traversing the forest with a hilly forested landscapes and deep saddles. The hills are forested with mature trees and dense undergrowth that have earned it the name 'impenetrable'. Once you come face to face with these gorillas, you will be required to give them a 6-meter distance as you play around with them. Kindly note that it’s also not so easy to predict the time to be taken while trekking and this will mainly depend on the location of some families since some stay really far from the headquarters.
The gorilla trekking encounter tends to last 2 – 8 hours inclusive of one (1) hour direct encounter with them. Seeing the critically endangered apes as they forage and socialize, the young gorillas rolling themselves on tree branches and the silverback demonstrating his authority, is a moment of wonder.
Day 7: Transfer back to Entebbe
After having an early breakfast, you will check-out and start your journey back to Kampala passing through rolling hills with terraces. You will also have a great time viewing the lush vegetation of the different areas you will go through.
