Embark on a 14-day safari adventure featuring Uganda's national parks and sanctuary. Come meet people with alike interests and witness what nature has to offer.
A safari to Africa will fill you with a lifetime of memorable moments. Come with Trek Rwenzori Tours and enjoy an African Safari experience. On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will warmly be welcomed by the expert and professional safari guide who will brief you about how the safari will be and then, transfer you to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe.
When you arrive early, you can opt for some activities such as Mabamba shoe bill stock or Kampala City tour.
After early morning at 07:00, your professional safari guide driver will pick you up and hit the road to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary, arrive at Ziwa in time, register, and receive a ranger guide who will lead you to a waking safari to track the first big of the great safari in Africa.
After that, continue to Gulu City. After Joseph Kony’s rebels were forced out of Northern Uganda, a giant was awakened. Gulu City is what they are talking about. Gulu is a bustling town in this once-war-ravaged region. As you will witness, the beauty of life here plays from dawn to dusk–extending deep into the night.
You will meet people who just want to enjoy life. Enjoy your time then and later go overnight.
Have breakfast then set off to Kidepo Valley National Park, arrive in time for rest and lunch before going out for an evening game drive. After taking a rest then you will set off for the evening game drive in Narus Valley in the south sector of Kidepo National Park, Narus is the sector of Kidepo that has savannah grasslands mixed with acacia woodland.
It is also the area of the park with permanent water sources throughout the year and for that matter, most of the animals are in this part of the park. You will be able to sport herds of buffaloes, elephants, many zebras, antelope species, and lions, the elusive leopards. You will return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Have a delicious breakfast then embark on an early morning game drive / safari where you will have a chance to encounter a large number of wildlife such as lions, herds of buffaloes, elephants, zebras, or the elusive leopard among others. Return to the lodge for lunch and afternoon relaxation.
After a good rest, embark on the Karamojong cultural walk where you will spend a wonderful evening with the Karamojong people and have an insight into their way of life and beliefs. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Enjoy breakfast then move out to explore the African savannah on foot. Accompanied by Uganda Wildlife Authority range guides, you will venture along dry riverbeds, over rocky outcrops, and through bushland to track the resident wild animals.
You will end up in Kidepo River Valley, a stroll on its wide bed of white sand, or in the Borassus palm forest which feels like an oasis in the Sahara, and is a beautiful attraction.
Later in the afternoon, you shall return to the Narus Valley for more African wildlife encounters. Return to the hotel for showers, dinner, and overnight.
Enjoy a delicious breakfast and embark on the road to Kidepo Murchison Falls National Park via beautiful landscapes and arrive early in the afternoon for lunch and relaxation. Later in the evening, you will decide to go evening game drive or night game drive to encounter wildlife rezoning for hunting and grazing. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
At 06:00, cross over on the bridge to the north bank of the Nile, taking along a packed breakfast from Red Chill rest camp or Fort Murchison, a 5-hour game drive around Common Wealthy track, Victoria, Research 1 and Research 11, which stretch between the Victoria and Albert Niles, and down to the Nile and Albert Delta. Most of the park’s game and birdlife can be sported from here; they can’t guarantee you enough that you will see all the animals but because you have a quiet number of times in the park doing the game drive, they promise you will see a big amount of wildlife.
At 11.00, cross back to the south bank and have a hot lunch at Red Chill Rest Camp.
At 14:00, depart for a 3-hour boat cruise along the Victoria Nile to the base of the Falls. Along the way, you will be able to observe a wide variety of birds and wildlife, including numerous hippos and crocodiles as well as breathtaking scenery. Cold beverages are available during the boat tour at your own cost.
You will arrive at the big falls at 16:00 then take a guided walk around the thunderous Murchison Falls, with an optional mini hike to view the sister falls, Uhuru, which was created in 1962 when the river burst its banks.
At 17:00, your driver / guide will meet you off the fall and take you to the hotel for an overnight.
After breakfast at 08:00, start a long but incredibly scenic passing through villages, lush green countryside, and hills dotted with tea plantations that characterize this part of Uganda. The beautiful scenery will amaze you all the way. Upon arrival at the Lake Nkuruba nature reserve hotel, check-in and just relax. If time allows, you can proceed with the Crater Lakes tour.
You will enjoy the beauty of the numerous small lakes, surrounded by gentle hills, and the stunning views all over.
This trip begins in Fort Portal or in Kibale where your guide will pick you up at your hotel at 07:00. You will then drive 26 kilometers to the entrance of Kibale National Park, where you will pay the fee for chimpanzee tracking. From there, you will continue driving 10 kilometers inside the park to Kanyancu, where you will register your visit and receive a 15-minute briefing from the National Park Guides. After the briefing, the National Park ranger guides will take you onto the chimpanzee trails. The National Park Rangers track the chimpanzees, so some days the tracking will begin from the briefing spot, on other days you will continue driving into the park to different trailheads.
The tracking begins at 08:00 and ends at 11:00 (3 hours total). After tracking, your Trek Rwenzori tour guide will bring you back to your hotel.
This trip begins at 09:00 with a pick-up at your hotel in Fort Portal. Your professional guide will drive you through the western rift valley approximately 49 kilometers to Sempanya Hot Springs, you will arrive in time to receive a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority Park Rangers. Then first explore the male and female hot springs, then walk through the tropical rain forest to the larger female and male; hot springs all while enjoying the wildlife and learning more about the park.
After enjoying the springs (not for bathing), you will travel to Amabere Caves where you will be able to see stalagmites and stalactites together, as well as a waterfall running from Rwenzori mountains. There, after the caves, you will have a short hike or opt to drive to see three crater lakes and will return to the hotel for a rest.
Enjoy breakfast at 07:00 and head out to the Ishasha sector in search of tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions is about 80% though sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey). Should you get to spot them, the sight is picturesque and memorable. From Ishasha, you shall drive to Kihihi town for lunch.
Thereafter proceed to the the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Buhoma sector) - arriving in the evening (17:00 or 18:00).
Following breakfast at the hotel, travel to the park headquarters to meet your guide for the day and begin your gorillas' tracking experiences. Experienced guides and trackers will accompany you in the morning, trek into the dense rain forest in the mountain slopes.
The journey through the dense foliage and up steep climbs is abundantly rewarded with the lifetime experience of viewing mountain gorillas in their natural habitats. You will have an opportunity to be within 7-10 meters of these magnificent apes, sharing their daily lives and experiencing their day-to-day activities. Mountain gorillas are extremely rare with only an estimated 880 remaining in the wild. This is an experience of a lifetime.
Following the trek, return to the lodge and, if time allows, take a community walk to see the Bushmen. Be advised: tracking may be fairly strenuous with treks of up to 5 hours or longer. At high altitudes, not uncommon.
Mountain gorillas are wild animals and, as trekkers follow them, you will see them without fail. Return to the accommodation and have some good rest after a strenuous trek. If interested, you may consider a late afternoon-to-evening encounter with the local community to experience firsthand the indigenous lifestyle in this part of the world.
You will end the safari drive at Lake Mburo National Park. This is the only park where you will sport impala in Uganda. Have breakfast and set off to Lake Mburo via Mbarara City. You will arrive at Lake Mburo in time and rest before moving for an evening game drive. During the safari drive, expect to see the gigantic eland antelopes, zebras, topi, impalas, Uganda kob, and Cape buffalos among others. Later, relax at the accommodation where you will spend the night.
If interested, you may consider the night game drive to encounter nocturnal creatures which will be a rare sighting compared to the regular daytime sightings.
After a delicious breakfast, you will start your journey back to Entebbe International Airport Kampala Capital City, or Rwanda Kigali. Cross the equator and have time to take photos at the equator line. Buy a few souvenirs and have a quick picnic lunch.
You will then drive to Entebbe Airport to catch your flights back home.
