Camp Bastian Mikumi is set in unique and natural surroundings. They offer comfortable accommodations and a warm and friendly atmosphere. The camp is located in the buffer zone of Mikumi National Park about 10 kilometers from the main gate.
Program
Day 1: Dar es Salaam - Mikumi National Park
You will depart from Dar es Salaam in the morning to Mikumi National Park with picnic lunch en route. On arrival, you will have an afternoon game drive in Mikumi National Park. By the end of the afternoon, you will reach your comfortable mobile camp featuring lovely views over the savannah.
Day 2: Mikumi National Park
You will have a full day game drive in Mikumi National Park or two half-day game drives. Whilst on safari, you can see a rich variety of bird species, as well as large numbers of giraffes, buffalos, and elephants. If you are lucky, you may also be able to spot lions, leopards, and African wild dogs. Likely to be seen animals include zebras, hippos, hartebeests, wildebeests, impalas, warthogs, elands, and antelopes. Several observation towers enable you to overview the park in its entirety. Overnight will be in Bastian Camp Mikumi.
Day 3: Mikumi National Park - Dar es Salaam
You will have an early morning game drive in Mikumi National Park, followed by breakfast. Then, after driving, you will be back to Dar es Salaam.
Location
This safari will take place in Mikumi National Park near Morogoro, Tanzania. The park was established in 1964. It covers an area of 3230 square kilometers. Hence, it is the fifth largest park in the country. The park is crossed by Tanzania's A-7 highway.
