Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, visit the top of the falls, and afternoon Nile launch cruise
After your adorable breakfast, Rumara Safaris' well-experienced and friendly tour guide will pick you up from Kampala (or Entebbe), and together, you will embark on the drive of about five hours (311 kilometers) to Murchison Falls National Park.
You will drive along the prominent scenery of Nakasongola, crossing the Kafu River and passing by the lush Budongo Forest, and upon arrival, you will drive to the top of the falls.
You will meet the world’s longest river, the Nile, as it cuddles itself to pass through an eight-meter ravine, forming a plume of spray marked by a booming roar and a trademark rainbow as it falls 43 meters below the Devil's Cauldron. The site exhibits an unusual scene for photography.
Retreat from the activity and connect to Paraa Jetty to catch up with the Nile launch cruise to the bottom of the falls, departing at 14:00. The Nile launch cruise will offer you an incredible opportunity to discover the calm waters of the Nile River as it approaches the delta.
There, you will gain splendid views of aquatic species like Nile crocodiles and hippos, not forgetting the lucky sights of the most sought-after shoebill stork. The boat will stop at the bottom of Murchison Falls - the world’s most powerful waterfall, where you can enjoy one of the most enchanted scenes in Uganda.
Retreat from the activity and connect to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 2: Game drive and transfer to Kampala
Early in the morning, you will connect to the remaining savannah landscapes of Murchison Falls National Park for a remarkable morning game drive in the northern part of the park to catch up with the early wildlife before they vanish to graze and hunt.
You will trail the designated tracks, including the Buligi, Albert, Queen, and Pakuba, among others, stretching to the delta area, gaining remarkable views of wildlife and the landscapes. The possible sights include Rothschild's giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeest, lions, leopards, Cape buffaloes, oribis, elephants, and kobs, among others.
You will retreat from this activity, which will last for three to four hours, and cross with the ferry at 11:00 to embark on the drive to Kampala, ending the safari.
