This is a group safari, but Perfect Wilderness Tours and Safaris will use a Landcruiser jeep which is comfortable and good for offroad driving
Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara
At 8 am, you will be picked up from your hotel within the city center / Westland area and commence the drive to Maasai Mara via the Great Rift Valley viewpoint where you will have a breathtaking view of the floor of the rift valley. Arrive at the camp in time for lunch. Check-in and have lunch. At 4.00 p.m., depart for a sunset game viewing drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve where chances of seeing the big cats are extremely high. The tour ends at 6:00 p.m. Return to the camp for a sumptuous buffet dinner ending with a good time for resting.
Spend the night in Miti Mingi Camp or another accommodation with similar quality.
Day 2: Full-day game drive in Maasai Mara Reserve
Have breakfast at 6:30 a.m. and at 7 a.m., you will leave for a full-day game viewing in the park. On this day, spend the full day exploring Maasai Mara in search of the big five, hippos and Nile crocodiles. You will then go for a picnic lunch in the park under a croton tree shade overlooking the vast landscape of the park.
It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures.
Dinner and overnight in Miti Mingi Camp / similar accommodation.
Day 3: Depart Maasai Mara to Nairobi
Early morning, have breakfast then check out for your drive back to Nairobi while enjoying a short en-route game drive on your way. On arrival, you will be dropped off at the city center or a hotel within the city center. End of the tour.
