Program
Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara
At 8 o'clock you will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel and commence the drive to Maasai Mara. You will pass via the Great Rift Valley view point where you will have a stopover of 10 -15 minutes to view the rift valley. Lunch will be at the camp in Maasai Mara.
In the afternoon after you check in, depart for a sunset evening game-viewing drive in the Mara Reserve (4 to 6 p.m.). Return back to the camp for a buffet dinner ending with a good time for resting at Miti Mingi camp or similar.
Masai Mara Reserve is the most popular tourist destination in Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. It’s regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas.
Day 2: Full-day game drive in Masai Mara Reserve
At around 7 a.m. after breakfast, you will leave for a full day exploring Masai Mara in search of the Big Five. At midday, you will have a picnic lunch in the park which is provided. You will visit the site of the yearly wildebeest migration and see the resident crocodiles and hippos sited at the banks of Mara river. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place; the phenomenal seventh wonder of the world. The wildebeest migration where over 1.5 million animals migrate annually from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pastures. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures.
Day 3: Full day Maasai Mara
Spend the full day exploring Masai Mara in search of the Big Five. You will have picnic lunches in the Reserve as you scale the Mara beauty situated at the banks of Mara River. Later you will get back to the camp for relaxing.
Day 4: Maasai Mara to Nairobi
Early breakfast, then check out, followed by a short game drive. A simple complimentary lunch will be provided at the Travellers motel on your way back to Nairobi. On arrival, you will be dropped off at the city center or a hotel within the city center.
