Program

Arrival

You'll be picked up from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve

You will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi or the airport. The hotel must be around Nairobi city centre. After a briefing and completing payments, you will join the rest of the group to start your safari at 8:30 am, heading to the Masai Mara. We will stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint to enjoy scenic views of the valley. Later, we will continue our journey to Masai Mara, where we will arrive in time for lunch at your camp and check in. You will have an afternoon or evening game drive in the Masai Mara National Park.

  • Accommodation at: Lenchada Mara Camp
  • Lunch and dinner (breakfast not included)
  • Drinks not included

Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve Full Day

Wake up at 6:30 am and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast, you will spend the entire day on game drives, heading out with a picnic lunch. The Masai Mara is renowned for its lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo, which comprise the Big Five. However, spotting leopards and rhinos can be challenging as they are pretty shy and elusive. The park's concentration of wildlife is truly extraordinary!

You will proceed to the Mara River, where the great migration of wildebeests occurs every year. Lunch will be served here, and guests are advised not to feed the monkeys as they may try to snatch some of your fruits—this behavior is typical in this area.

While at the river, you can visit the hippo pool, where you might see crocodiles basking on the rocks. You will also see numerous plains game, including antelopes, wildebeests, zebras, and Masai giraffes, as well as scavengers like hyenas and vultures. After lunch, you will continue exploring the park as you return to camp.

  • Dinner and Overnight: Lenchada Tourist Camp
  • All meals included
  • Drinks not included

Day 3: Depart

After breakfast, you have the option to visit a Masai village for a cultural experience (approximately 25 USD per person). Later, you will drive back to Nairobi, stopping for lunch along the way on your own account. You will arrive early evening and be dropped off at your hotel or pick-up point.

Location

This safari takes place at Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. Maasai Mara National Reserve is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kenya. The reserve is located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. The Maasai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas.

The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. There have been some 95 species of mammals, amphibians, and reptiles and over 400 birds species recorded on the reserve. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is for this reason a visitor hardly misses to see the Big Five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino).
