He was born in the Caprivi Zambezi region and grew up in Livingstone, Zambia. Because he grew up in the tourist capital of Zambia, he has always interacted with people who were involved in the tourism industry and that is where his interest for tour guiding came from. What he loves most about his job is the fact that he gets to travel a lot and meet different people from all walks of life.
Gabriel is one of Chameleon Safaris' tour guides, starting in January 2015. He grew up on a farm in the Kalahari Eastern Namibia. He enjoys working for Chameleon as he gets to show people around his beautiful country while learning a lot from his guests about their own countries.
Gideon Nak is one of Chameleon’s driver and trainee guides, who says he loves his job because it gives him an opportunity to drive and travel around and meet new different people. He grew up in the Oshikoto region of Northern Namibia and loves to show tourists all around his country.

Great value tour. Very well organized. We were able to discover many places in a short period of time . A special thank to the driver and the guide who did contribute a lot and made us discover that beautiful country.

In namibia, there are beautiful places but all of them are very distant from each other, so if you can count on experienced guides/drivers that can show the best way to do it, i would recomend. We loved our guides, alvin and tulimo were great. They were nice and kind, and helpful all the time, always pointing the best way of doing the safari.
At first I was afraid of the whole trip, but Alvin and Tulimo (guide and driver) were amazing. They even managed a barbecue in the pouring rain!
We had a perfect experience with them - no complaints at all.

I had a great weekend trip to Sossusvlei with Chameleon. The people in the office were great, the tour guide knowledgeable, and the experience super-fantastic. I only wish I'd been able to do a longer trip with them. Highly recommend.
An amazing safari that begins in the lovely city of Windhoek and transports you all the way to the dunes in sossusvlei passing through amazing natural sights and indescribable change of landscapes into the different small but memorable towns in between. An absolutely must do safari with Chameleon!

This trip really was exceptional for the price. We had better than expected meals and accommodations. Our guide, Alvin, and driver, Timone, worked hard to make the trip run perfectly and to make us happy with great animal sightings and delicious creative meals. We had an interesting diversified group of 12 people and had a lot of laughs and fun.

This is one safari that can be done by non picky traveler. Unfortunately, not a lot of animals to see. During our safari, we saw the following...Kudus, giraffes, elans, ostrich, harbeest, springboks,1 or 2 Wildebeest, 1 hyena, a couple of birds. Just 1 or 2 rhinos (one of the big 4 namely...Rhino, Elephant, Lion, Leopard). In other words, we didn't see the other 3.

We did 2,600 klms on this 6 day/5 night safari. Our guide Gabriel was a good driver, very knowledgeable about the countryside, terrain and the different tribes. He was an excellent cook and very well orgnaised. in the kitchen. He took great care of us throughout the trip. However with such vast distances we had a lot of 6.15 am breakfasts so would suggest a couple of days R&R at the end of the safari - unfortunately we had to fly straight back to Europe.

Good value for money--comfortable lodging with beds, en suite bath rooms. Really good guide who was from Namibia and was great.
It was a great safari with Chameleon. The knowlege of guides were really good. They tried to do the best to show us the animals and answered all our questions. All accomondations were very luxurious. i can reccomend to book with chameleon safaris.
The guides were wonderful and if we didn't like the very early starts then we had to remember that the guides were ever earlier and then couldn't sleep en route. They had a good knowledge of the area and people and also a good sense of humour. Many of the trips were long and over corrugated roads and maybe this would have been easier for the younger crowd. Overall, a good experience.

This was a wonderful experience! If you're considering camping in Namibia, definitely do it and I'd highly recommend this company. First off, the desert is incredible, I've never seen anything more beautiful. It truly was the experience of a lifetime. And Chameleon provided excellent service, with a friendly group of people at a great price. They also helped with travel and accommodation advice pre trip (and didn't mind my million questions/emails), as my friend and I were coming to Namibia from Zambia and travel isn't very easy or cheap in the area.
But what made the trip the so special our guides, who were so kind, welcoming, genuine, knowledgeable, and eager to show us a great time. They went above and beyond to make sure we experienced all Sossusvlei had to offer, and cook us delicious meals three times a day-- quite a feat considering we were in the middle of the desert! It must have been exhausting, we packed in quite a bit during our 4-day trip, but they never showed any sign of impatience or fatigue. And were happy to talk at length about the country and landscape. It felt like being among family. Their kindness pushed this above and beyond and I'm so glad we chose Chameleon for our tour of the region. I hope the company knows how valuable and wonderful those two men are!

I didn't expect too much from this tour but it was super cool. The accommodation was great, the guides very nice and also the food was great. We were in a group of eleven people and everyone was so nice and we got along really good and had a fun time. Would definitely do a tour with chameleon again and also recommend it to everyone. Great value for money!
Chameleon Safaris is a low-budget but very resourceful tour operator, definitely value for money! And the fact they had the hostel for pre and post departure was decisive to me. The hostel atmosphere is amazing, filled with kind international people, had a great time with guests and people who work there as well. I did the 6 day tour which I think was a good taste of Namibia, especially because Alvin, our tour guide, was knowledgeable and kept everything on time and on track! Would recommend with my eyes closed.

A free walking tour of Windhoek's main attractions leaves every morning around 09:30 from the Tourist Information Center. Extremely interesting and very nicely paced by our young guide Matthew. Not to be missed!

We had a great free walking tour of Windhoek center with our guide Matthew. We hadn't made any plans prior but arrived at the tourist information center just before they started at 9.30 and it lasted a couple of hours. Matthew was really informative and happy to answer any questions. A real surprise at the end of a great trip round the country!

We took the six-day Wildlife and Dunes Experience which we thoroughly enjoyed. Despite the heat, dodgy roads and early starts our guide and driver made this trip most enjoyable. Lesley, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and looked after us both, as we are not in the first flush of youth, and together with our driver Timone made this trip something to remember. They work as a good team. My only complaint would be that the bus seemed to need a bit if TLC, the seats were awful, particularly on the majority of the roads we used. All the accommodation was first class, in particular Etosha Camp and the Dessert Camp, and the guys cooking was good. All in all this was well organised, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves...now to get some sleep!
Tour guide was knowledgeable. Meals which were prepared by tour guide or driver has very delicious. Good life experience in the desert.
It was an amazing safari and the people working at Chameleon were just as amazing! Chose Chameleon! ♥︎
