Ilboru Safari Lodge (3 nights)

This is a simple lodge, in quite a bustling residential setting on the outskirts of Arusha. The lodge is set in five acres of beautiful gardens with a very large outdoor pool. Massage and Reiki treatments are popular with climbers. The rooms are in rondavels (round cottages) - two rooms per building. They are simple but adequate. There are certainly better places to stay, but if you just want somewhere that is quite reliably clean and comfy for a good price, Ilboru is a good choice.

There are 48 en-suite rooms - singles, doubles, twins, and family rooms. Four of the rooms are in the main building and 34 are in the beautiful gardens in thatched rondavels with two rooms to each cottage. They are simple yet clean and comfortable and each has a private veranda.

Each tent has a comfortable veranda, ideal for bird and game viewing or reading your favorite book after a dusty safari. With a choice of twin, double, or triple accommodation, all tents are equipped with en-suite bathrooms with solar-heated showers, ample cupboard space for your gear, and a cultural touch of local textiles.
