A budget-friendly yet very intense safari experience may be had at the low-cost tented camps with private washrooms located outside of Maasai Mara National Reserve. In addition to being close to the reserve's famous landscapes and wildlife, guests can take advantage of cozy tents, delectable buffet meals, and guided wildlife tours.
Program
Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara
At 6 a.m., Zanzi African Safaris will pick you up at the hotel or the airport in Nairobi and transfer you to the office for a tour briefing, meeting the other group members, and finalization. Then you will drive to Masai Mara via the Great Rift Valley, heading to the game reserve’s Miti Migi Eco Camp. After lunch and some relaxation, you proceed for an afternoon game drive until the African sunset. Thereafter, you will return to camp for dinner.

Day 2: Maasai Mara full day
After breakfast, you will have a full-day game drive with a packed lunch provided. The reserve is well known for its black-maned lions, as well as its abundant resident wildlife. It’s one of the few places where it’s possible to see the Big Five during a morning’s game drive. Many of the cheetahs are so tame they seek shelter from the hot sun under one’s vehicle, and several even climb onto the roof to get a better view of prospective prey.
For the bird enthusiasts, almost 500 species have been recorded: among these are 16 species of eagles, many hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks, 4 of bustards (including the kori bustard, the world’s heaviest flying bird), and 9 species of sunbirds. After the full-day game drive, return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Maasai Mara - Nairobi
You will wake up at 6 a.m. for a sunrise game drive. At 9 a.m., you’ll drive back to your accommodation for brunch and then depart for Nairobi. Lunch will be en route. You’ll arrive in Nairobi late in the afternoon.
