Days 1 and 2: Moremi
The penultimate leg of the tour will be destined for the Moremi Game Reserve. Your morning will be met with an early departure to Khwai and Moremi Game Reserve. You will spend the next two days viewing the wide variety of wildlife and birds that this area is renowned for, while absorbing the sounds and beauty of this region. Moremi ranks as one of the most beautiful reserves in Africa, possibly in the world. Your game drives will be conducted in the early morning as the sun rises and in the late afternoon as the sun sets to catch a glimpse of the nocturnal predators as they get out of the shadows in preparation for their next meal. Camping will be in designated campsites with ensuite bush ablutions on every tent for your safety and convenience.
Days 3 and 4: Savuti - Chobe National Park
You will leave camp in the morning for Chobe National Park, with its diverse and striking landscapes, via Savuti on a journey of about 6 hours. The Savute Marsh is the deepest part of the Mababe Depression and it is the only part to have filled up with water in recent history. Today, the marsh is dry and attracts a large population of predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and even African wild dogs.
The Savute channel has a fascinating history of flooding and drying up independently of good, rainy seasons and flood levels elsewhere, a mystery that has intrigued geologists for many years. As you continue your search for wildlife, you will traverse the drier region of Savuti, where bull elephants dot the plains. Your guide will take you on a drive of a lifetime filled with in-depth knowledge sharing of the area as well as its wildlife.
Days 5 and 6: Chobe River - Chobe National Park
Your journey will continue and you will be destined for the Chobe National Park via the Chobe River, where your game drives will meander along the banks of the river. The Chobe River floodplain is an amazing game-viewing area where water attracts large herds of buffalo, elephants, zebra, and other herbivores. Due to the proliferation of prey, predators are likely to be close at hand. Sunsets in this region as always spectacular and allow amazing photographic opportunities.
Your trip will last for approximately 5 hours which your guide will share with you some amazing stories including the history of David Livingstone, who in November 1855, together with his 114 porters, left the Linyanti / Chobe for the Great Falls east of Sesheke; the falls of Mosi-oa-Tunya “the smoke that thunders”, the Victoria Falls.
Day 7: Kasane
The final leg of your safari officially ends in Kasane, commonly known as the gateway to Chobe National Park. It is known for the herds of elephants that converge on the Chobe River in the dry season. You will be treated to a cruise on the Okavango Delta. This experience allows you to get a closer look at the aquatic animals and birds not easily approached on safari. It is from Maun that you can catch your flight en route to your next destination.
