Maasai Mara is well known as the largest park in Kenya with a high concentration of wildlife. This is the only park recorded in the book of Seven Wonders because of the wildebeest migration, which takes place annually starting in early July until late October when they migrate from Maasai Mara to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.
In Kenya, this is the only park where you can view the Big Five—lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and leopard. The morning is a good time for spotting big cats, including cheetahs, lions, leopards, and other predators. Maasai Mara National Reserve has more than 500 wildlife species.
