Nimali Tarangire (2 nights)

Located on its own concession on the eastern edge of neighbouring Tarangire National Park, Nimali Tarangire is within easy driving distance of Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater. The camp is inspired by the local Maasai culture which is reflected in artfully curated artefacts and soft furnishings. Designed to blend effortlessly into the surrounding environment, Nimali Tarangire is home to an underground hide where you can witness animals at close quarters as they come down to drink. Meet the instructors

Founder and Director Eugen was born and raised in a small village near Ngorongoro. Many tourists visited the area and it was one of these tourists that changed his world. Eugen’s work ethic and trustworthy nature led this tourist to set up a “legacy” providing for his higher education including his university degree and eventually his company “Legacy Exchange Outfitters”.

Eugen’s love of nature and a deep appreciation for the many tourists, is the hallmark of what he has created. He knows personally the positive impact travel can have on a community or even just one individual. To honor the legacy that began with him, Eugen emphasizes community interaction and personal culture “Exchange” with every safari.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha - Welcome to Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by a VIP host who will assist with immigration and luggage. You will then be transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge, nestled on the lush grounds of a coffee plantation at the foothills of Mount Meru. Unwind in your charming cottage, surrounded by aromatic coffee fields. Enjoy a quiet evening and dinner at the lodge as you prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Coffee tour and flight to Tarangire - Game drives begin

After breakfast, embark on a guided coffee tour to discover the journey of Tanzania’s famed Arabica beans—from cultivation to cup. Later, transfer to Arusha Airport for your private charter flight to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic game drive en route to Nimali Tarangire, a luxurious tented camp tucked away in a private concession bordering the park. In the afternoon, set off on your first thrilling game drive through Tarangire’s iconic landscape, characterized by ancient baobab trees, sweeping savannahs, and some of the largest elephant herds in East Africa.

Day 3: Full-day safari in Tarangire National Park

Spend the full day on game drives through Tarangire, known for its dramatic scenery, rich biodiversity, and huge concentrations of elephants. Day 4: Walking safari and community visit - Drive to Ngorongoro

Begin your day with a guided walking safari, where expert guides will help you explore the bush on foot - learning to identify animal tracks, bird calls, and native medicinal plants. After breakfast back at camp, depart Tarangire and journey toward the lush Ngorongoro Highlands. En route, stop at Banjika Secondary School for an enriching cultural and educational visit that supports local community development. By late afternoon, arrive at Ngorongoro Melia, a stunning lodge perched on the edge of the crater with sweeping views. Settle in and enjoy a relaxing evening by the fireplace before dinner.

Day 5: Full day in the Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day safari in one of the world's most remarkable wildlife areas.
