Serengeti Bushtops Luxury Camp (3 nights)
Under Serengeti Bushtops canvas lies the finest in seductive luxury and fifteen of the largest, most impressive tented en suites imaginable. None are overlooked, but all look over the Serengeti. Each faces the sunset and is open on two sides, revealing heart-stopping vistas of timeless beauty. This is a magical place in which to reconnect with what really matters. 12 luxurious rooms under canvas are named after the animals that surround them. Each is encircled by vast private decks, creating a hundred and 12 square metres within which to sink into a deck lounger, soak in your private hot tub, or gaze out at passing wildlife.
This is your personal kingdom, ideally suited to restful sleep, taking an open-air shower beneath the warm African sun, or unwinding as you await drinks from your private butler. Each tent sleeps two, but an extra single bed can be added for a third adult. For larger families visiting Serengeti Bushtops, they combine two tents into a private family suite. A short bridge connects Jackal 1 and Jackal 2, or a longer one creates a unit comprising Giraffe and Hippo. This enables groups of up to eight (four adults and four children aged seven or more) to enjoy their own private paradise.
Ngorongoro Crater Edge Lodge (2 nights)
Wilderness Collections Craters Edge provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to truly immerse yourself in nature while indulging in the finest luxury comforts. Thanks to the enclosed nature of the caldera, the Ngorongoro Crater is effectively its own ecosystem. You will awaken to the inimitable sounds of birds chirping, looking directly into the bowl of the caldera from the vantage point of your tented suite. The lodge is meticulously designed to harmonize with the African landscape, providing an intimate retreat that is at one with its natural surroundings. The rugged canvas exteriors, stone pathways, wooden teak flooring, and neutral color palette of the décor all serve to echo the natural surroundings.
The lodge boasts individual stand-alone suites in the form of luxuriously appointed tents, which are perched on stilts above the African landscape. The acacia groves that embrace the lodge are home to many elephants and other wildlife and were untouched during construction, ensuring that the ecosystems could grow and thrive in the lodge’s presence. The suites are the last word in luxury. Giant canopied beds are dressed in white linens. A spacious lounge area boasting two commodious chairs and an ottoman allows you a moment of pause during the day to tuck up in an armchair with a book or a pair of binoculars to watch the wildlife from your tent. At the end of the day, an enormous free-standing tub allows you to unwind.
The tent itself is encircled by a private wooden veranda deck, sporting comfortable seating with unparalleled views of the panorama. There is even a spotting scope on every balcony from which you can better see the animals in the Crater. Look out for elephant, zebra, bushbuck, and waterbuck from your tented suite. Luxury tented accommodations are committed to sustainability and eco-friendly practices, minimizing the environmental impact while providing a luxurious experience.
They seamlessly integrated the lodge with its natural surroundings. The design of the lodge is such that it allows for minimal impact on the surroundings, blending in with what has been here for thousands of years. The use of natural materials not only allows the lodge to blend into its natural habitat but also creates a space of deep comfort and tranquillity for guests.
