Accommodation level: Mid-range

During the safari, you will be provided with six nights of accommodation. Accommodation during the first and second nights will be at Mara Sopa Lodge or Figtree Camp, while on the third night, you will stay at Naivasha Sopa Lodge or Fish Eagle Inn. The fourth night will be spent at Sarova Lion Hill or Waterbuck Hotel, while the fifth and sixth nights will be spent at Kibo Safari Camp or AA Lodges.

Nights 1 and 2: Mara Sopa Lodge / Figtree Camp

Mara Sopa Lodge is located high on the slopes of Oloolaimutia Hills, Masai Mara Sopa Lodge was one of the first safari lodges to be built in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, a reason why its gardens and trees are so lush and mature.

All the buildings follow the design of traditional African round houses with conical roofs, and these stretch along the line of the hills with the impressively large public area buildings and the swimming pool at their center.

Fig Tree Camp is located on the banks of the Talek River, in the world famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. The camp is situated on the northern border of the national reserve and its central location makes all areas of the park accessible during game drives.

Night 3: Naivasha Sopa Lodge / Fish Eagle Inn

Set on one hundred and fifty acres of grassland studded with Acacia bushes and trees, the resort is not only home to the resident giraffe, waterbuck, and both Vervet and Colobus monkeys, but it is also a night stop for the hippos, when they leave the lake every night to come and trim the grass on the expansive lawns.

With Sopa’s traditional and conscientious care for the environment, they carefully positioned all the buildings on their property so as not to fell any of the trees. As a result, they had to come up with a radically innovative and artistic design for the main public area building which now snakes its way between the trees with long and graceful curves.

It is also why you might well ask just why the two swimming pools with a children’s section and a pool complex with its bar, snack kitchen, pizzeria, health spa, tennis court, the two conference halls with their four differently sized meeting areas, and the stables are so widely set apart.

Fish eagle Inn is a campsite on the banks of Lake Naivasha. It is a convenient stopover for backpackers and budget travelers, as they offer accommodation in both pitched tents and cottages. It has expansive grounds that are well maintained.

Guests get to enjoy boat rides, outdoor games like basketball, volleyball, quad bike riding, mountain bike riding, and swimming. For children, there is a kids’ corner with see saws, swings, slides, and bouncing castles. It is also conveniently located close to Menengai Crater where one can go for treks or a hike on Mount Longonot.

Night 4: Sarova Lionhill / Waterbuck Hotel

Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is nestled along Lion Hill, overlooking the spectacular flamingo pink rimmed Lake Nakuru. Its location affords panoramic views of the lake and the picturesque Lake Nakuru National Park. A short two-hour drive from Nairobi, Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is a favorite with residents and visitors to Kenya.

Waterbuck Hotel is has convenient access to all the city’s tourist attractions such as Nakuru National Park, Menengai Crater, and Manyani Conservancy.

Nights 5 and 6: Kibo Safari Camp / AA Lodge Amboseli

Kibo Safari Camp is a luxury tented camp in Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa.

AA Amboseli Lodge is built in a three-tier architectural design and is strategically located two kilometers from Amboseli National Park's main gate (Kimana Gate) and conveniently within the Emali-Loitoktok tarmac road.

It is 240 kilometers from Nairobi, 16 kilometers from Amboseli airstrip, 20 kilometers from the Emali, 20 kilometers from the Emali-Loitoktok tarmac road, and commands a panoramic view of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, the world’s highest free standing mountain.
