Itinerary
Day 1
The Kruger Park Africa Tours team will collect you from your accommodation in Johannesburg around 6 a.m. and transfer you to the shuttle service at OR Tambo International Airport. Shuttle service departs in an air-conditioned bus to Hoedspruit.
You will pass through the picturesque Mpumalanga farmlands en route to your lunch destination in Hoedspruit (clients that fly into Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport will be collected).
After lunch (at your own cost), you proceed to your first overnight accommodation at WITS Bushcamp Lodge. Upon arrival, the dedicated staff will welcome you and show you to your chalets, where you can relax for a while.
Your first official safari experience, the sunset drive, will commence shortly after settling into your accommodation. Enjoy as the last rays of the gorgeous light bathe the African bushveld in vivid reds, yellows, and pinks (Hint: the lighting will add a romantic element to your photographs!) The sunset drive allows you the unique experience of spotting some nocturnal creatures that ordinarily are hidden during the day. Watch out for eyes glowing in the dark!
A delicious dinner awaits you at Bongan African Lodge at around 7 p.m., where the day’s adventures can be shared over a warm meal. Stay overnight in your comfortable chalet at WITS Bushcamp Lodge.
Day 2
Set those alarms for bright and early! It’s time for your safari experience in the Kruger National Park. Starting from Orpen Gate in Kruger Park and driving through the central areas of Kruger Park, your guide will show you the varied fauna and flora of this magnificent wildlife paradise. The open-sided game vehicle (with added elevation and absence of windows) allows for excellent viewing and photographic opportunities. Please keep your eyes peeled for the famous Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo). Dinner will be served from 7:30 p.m. in the Bongan boma and overnight at WITS Bushcamp Lodge.
Day 3
An early game drive in Manyeleti / Kruger Park. After breakfast at 10 a.m., the team will transfer you to your shuttle service in Hoedspruit who will then take you to OR Tambo International Airport.

Shuttle transfer from OR Tambo - Hoedspruit:
Kruger Park Africa Tours will collect you at your accommodation in Johannesburg and transfer you to OR Tambo International Airport, where you will join the shuttle service (Safari Link or Swift). You will be transferred to Hoedspruit. On arrival in Hoedspruit, you will be met by one of the safari guides and start your Kruger Park Safari.
Shuttle transfer from Hoedspruit - OR Tambo:
On the last day of your safari, the guides will drop you at the shuttle service in Hoedspruit. The shuttle service will transfer you to OR Tambo Airport. Free transfers are offered from Johannesburg accommodations to the shuttle service at OR Tambo prior to your tour. Return transfers from the shuttle service at OR Tambo are available on request.
Flights from OR Tambo - Hoedspruit:
You can book your flight to Hoedspruit (departure time no later than 12:50, for arrival at Eastgate Airport, Hoedspruit by 13:45). On arrival in Hoedspruit, you will be met by one of the safari guides and start your Kruger Park Safari.
Flights from Hoedspruit - OR Tambo:
Departure from Eastgate Airport, Hoedspruit (departure time no later than 14:20 for arrival at OR Tambo International Airport by 15:25).
PLEASE NOTE: Flight costs are excluded from the safari package and will need to be booked in person. Approximate rate: 3000 - 4000 ZAR dependent on date. Flight times can be confirmed upon reservation of the safari tour.
Cancellation Policy
- A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
- The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
- The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
