Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara National Reserve
You will be picked up from the hotel or your residence in Nairobi, you will head southward to the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley for a brief stopover to view the escarpment. Continue to Narok, a small Maasai town, for lunch. Proceed to Maasai Mara, then check into your lodge for a brief refreshment followed by an afternoon game drive in the game reserve which is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here.
Although July, August, and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebras, there is also resident wildlife year round. Dinner and overnight will be at Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 2: Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, a full day is spent game viewing across the rich, tree studded grassland and rolling hills. The famous Mara is renowned for its great herds of plain game, black-maned lions, leopards, and cheetahs, but also contains numerous elephants and virtually every type of wildlife to be found in Kenya.
Lunch is served in the park at the Mara River, the border between Kenya and Tanzania and the scene for yearly wildebeest and zebra migration. Continue with your game drive covering the park into sections, then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Maasai Mara National Reserve - Lake Nakuru National Park
You will have a pre-breakfast game drive in Maasai Mara National Reserve. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast and then leave your lodge and proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving late in the afternoon. You will have a game drive en-route. Dinner and overnight will be at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park - Lake Naivasha National Park
Have an early morning game drive in search of leopards and rhinos, returning to the lodge for breakfast. Check out after breakfast and continue to Lake Naivasha Bird Sanctuary, arriving at Lake Naivasha's top camp at midday for lunch.
Lake Naivasha is one of the Great Rift Valley's jewels, reflecting the tranquil beauty of the African sky and the surrounding mountains. The lake's color is temporarily distorted as flocks of graceful flamingos and pink-backed pelicans settle on the water. Relax after lunch at the lodge and get the chance to enjoy its facilities and optional activities on offer. Dinner and overnight will be at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha - Nairobi
After breakfast, check out and depart by road back to Nairobi.
