Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi - Hell's Gate National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport by Kenya Tour Budget Safari's representative then drive southwards to the Hell's Gate with a stopover at the Hell's Gate View Point. From the View Point, Hell’s Gate National Park lies one kilometer south.
It is a small national park with a wide variety of wildlife and beautiful scenery. This includes the Volcanic Fischer’s Tower where one may have a try at rock climbing assisted by a professional rock climber and Hell’s Gate Gorge where a visitor may walk through as a challenging but refreshing adventure. This unique scenery was the venue for the Hollywood movie “Tomb Raider II 2003” featuring Angelina Jolie.
The park is equipped with basic campsites and a Masai tribe’s rich culture education center. Hiking, cycling, and jogging are allowed in some sections. You may want to participate in the annual wheelbarrow race that is organized by The Kenya Wildlife Service to teach the local people the importance of wildlife conservation. Animals to see are buffalo, zebra, impala, gazelle, hyena, and rarely, the elusive leopard, among others. The park is also home to Olkaria geothermal power stations. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
Day 2: Lake Elementaita - Nairobi
