If you are patient and observe the interaction of the animals rather than rushing to check off the next animal on your list, you will have an extraordinary wildlife experience. To keep from getting dehydrated, you will need to drink plenty of fluids. Unlimited bottled water is supplied daily in your tent and also in the vehicles for game drives. The transport to the game parks is based on customized seven-sitter safari van with specially modified suspension. Seats are designed with seat belts.
Children are welcome on this safari. Jamboree Africa Tours and Safaris will advise you of any restrictions if you wish to delight your children by bringing them on safari. On game drives, if you have more than one child, you may be required to have a separate vehicle.
Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara
This morning, you will drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five which includes lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino.
Then, you will have lunch at the lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see at the Mara Game Reserve as it is one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Residents among the park are Maasai giraffe, buffalo, eland, and thousands of plain game including impala, zebra, topi, both Thomson’s and grants gazelles.
Day 2: Maasai Mara
Safari starts from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs will continue today during extensive game drives. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals, plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs.
Day 3: Maasai Mara - Nakuru
- After breakfast, you will proceed to Nakuru. Dinner and overnight stay will be at CityMax Hotel or which is a budget hotel in Nakuru.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, you will proceed for a game drive in the rhino sanctuary, which is home to a colony of about 25 white and black rhinos. Predators are also resident in the park. Later, you will leave for Lake Naivasha. Arrive in the evening for dinner and overnight at Leisure Apex Hotel.
Day 5: Hell’s Gate National Park - Nairobi
After breakfast, you will visit to Hell’s Gate National Park, which is a breeding ground for vultures in Kenya such as Lammergeyer vultures. There are also anticipated species like imperial eagle, schalow’s wheatear, chin spot batis. You can decide to run (exercise), ride a bike or ride in the safari van. You'll descend into the gorge. Later, you will depart to Nairobi to mark the end of your safari. Your breakfast and lunch for today are included in the price
