Accommodation
You will stay for 3 nights sharing in a double or twin room at several accommodations as described below.
Amboseli Sopa Lodge
Set on 200 acres of private land and with a rustic charm all of its own, the lodge nestles in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro which, at almost 6,000 meters, is Africa’s highest and most famous snow-capped mountain. All forms of wildlife still abound in this wilderness, which continues all the way to the Amboseli National Park, an easy 20-minute drive away from the lodge.
It was this region of Kenya that, in the 1930s, inspired Ernest Hemingway’s unforgettable stories ‘The Snows of Kilimanjaro’ and ‘The Short, Happy Life of Francis Macomber,’ which were turned into more than successful feature films in the late 1940s due to their renowned actors.
Kibo Safari Camp
Kibo Safari Camp is a luxury tented camp in Amboseli National Park at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. The camp has 73 self-contained tents for single, double, triple, and family accommodation. The beds have been custom designed and locally made using bush logs and will ensure a good night’s sleep! All tents have flush toilets, showers, and washbasins. You can enjoy your shower as you like: bubbling hot or refreshing cold.
Ngulia Safari Camp
Ngulia Safari Camp is located in Tsavo West National Park with 52 rooms facing the vast wilderness and en-suite bathroom facilities. It is one of the lodges with a great view of Kilimanjaro and overlooking the famous Rhino Sanctuary, which is the largest in the world, hence guaranteeing an encounter with the rare African animal.
Voi Wildlife Lodge
Voi Wildlife Lodge is located in Tsavo East National Park on top of a rocky hill with 52 en-suite standard rooms. Some of the rooms include twin beds while others have a double bed with an additional single bed. The lodge also has a free-form pool with scenic views where you can take refreshing dips in the hot afternoons during your relaxing trip, or simply unwind beside comfortable loungers.
