Sample Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Dar es Salaam - Mikumi National Park
At 06:00, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Mikumi National Park (5 - 6 hours driving). After check-in, you will have time to relax before evening cultural program at Maasai Village.
- Overnight at Morio Motel.
Day 2: Full game drive
In the morning after breakfast, leave for the full game drive with a packed lunch. Animals commonly found here include lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, and elephant. Wild dogs can be seen in packs here. The open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain, the popular centerpiece of Mikumi, draw frequent comparisons to the more famous Serengeti Plains.
- Dinner and overnight will be the same as day 1.
Day 3: Mikumi National Park - Dar es Salaam
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Dar es Salaam which will be the end of the trip. You can also be dropped off at the ferry to take the boat to Zanzibar or the airport to take your flight home.
