Amboseli Serena Lodge (2 nights)

Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge is located within Amboseli National Park, which lies approximately 250 kilometers from Nairobi and close to the Tanzanian border. Set against the magnificent backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain, the glittering Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge enjoys a uniquely privileged position at the heart of this world-famous national park. Secluded within a grove of acacia trees, the lodge looks out over the golden savannah plains, with uninterrupted views of the mountain itself. Close by are a series of emerald green swamps, which are fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro.

The luxury en suite rooms are accommodated in two single-stoned dedicated buildings, which lie to the right and left of the main reception and dining areas. Each tastefully-appointed room features a Maasai-inspired, hand-painted, wall fresco, king-sized bed or luxurious twins, lavish all-encompassing mosquito-curtaining, bathroom (with walk-in shower), writing/vanity unit, and private veranda.

Naivasha Sopa Lodge (1 night)

Set in one hundred and fifty acres of grassland studded with acacia bushes and trees, the resort is not only home to the resident giraffes, waterbucks, and both Vervet and Colobus monkeys. It is also a night stop for the hippos when they leave the lake every night to come and trim the grass on the expansive lawns. With Sopa’s traditional and conscientious care for the environment, all the buildings have been carefully positioned on the property no trees were cut.

As a result of this, the lodge had to come up with a radically innovative and artistic design for the main public area building which now snakes its way between the trees with long and graceful curves. For this reason, the two swimming pools with a children’s section and a pool complex with its bar, snack kitchen, pizzeria, health spa, tennis court, two conference halls with their four differently sized meeting areas, and stables are so widely set apart.

Other facilities in the lodge include sundowners, a gift shop, board games, outdoor dining, free Wi-Fi, sauna, and wheelchair accessible rooms. Rooms include bedroom kettles, hairdryers, telephones, and a television. The lodge also has adjoining rooms, babysitting services, laundry, and turndown service. Other activities you may want to indulge in at the lodge are horseriding, birdwatching, and nature walks.

Egret Savannah Camp (1 night)

The Egret Savannah Camp (formerly Flamingo Hill Camp) is situated within the world famous bird and rhino sanctuary known as Lake Nakuru National Park. Egret Savannah Camp is approximately 35 minutes by air or 2.5 hours by road from Nairobi. Nestled between the “honeymoon hills”, and with a picturesque setting with well landscaped areas and natural foliage and a variety of indigenous African plants and flowers, the hotel offers a quality accommodation experience. The camp is quite an eco-friendly property and every effort is made to ensure a minimized environmental impact.

Free full breakfast, game and wildlife viewing and a garden are just a few of the amenities provided at Egret Savannah Camp. The on-site restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Stay connected with free in-room Wi-Fi, and guests can find other amenities, such as a bar. All guest rooms include comforts, such as laptop-friendly workspaces, in addition to bathrooms with rainfall showers and soap, daily housekeeping, and desks.
