Buhoma Community Rest Camp (Budget)

Buhoma Community Rest Camp is positioned just close to Bwindi Impenetrable National parks with an inspiration of establishing an excellent lodge with high-quality services that suits both tourists and visitors. The bandas have a touch of an African architectural design and the six bandas are fully furnished with about four beds that will favor all groups of tourists. Rwonyo Rest Camp (Budget)

Rwonyo Rest Camp is a budget facility located in Lake Mburo National Park. It is managed by the Uganda wildlife authority. This camp was constructed using local materials such as thatched grass plus wood to offer you a true African experience. Various wild animals move around this camp giving guests an opportunity to see game them without embarking on game rides.

This camp comprises of bandas plus tented rooms which are properly furnished. These bandas are built in form of wooden hats and have shared showers while the tented rooms are built on elevated wooden platforms and have private showers. In other words staying within a tent is more comfortable though more costly compared to bandas. You will find a campground in which you can pitch your own tent. Participants will stay here for one night.

The Gorilla Resort (Luxury)

The Gorilla Resort is such an amazing safari camp with a magnificent sight of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It’s suited at Buhoma along with Bwindi Impenetrable Gorilla National Park beside the mountain.

The camp is enclosed with lavishness cottages in addition to the east Africa safari tents that are positioned on an eminent wooden platform providing a beautiful scenic view of the area. The wooden decks will definitely give you a perfect view of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest as well as River Munyaga. Participants will stay here for two nights.


Day 1 - Kampala and Lake Mburo National Park

The tour starts with a pick-up from a hotel while in Uganda and drive to the western National park of Uganda. The drive is about 228 kilometers from Kampala about four hours drive. You will have a stopover at the equator for formative talk and the souvenirs.

Then, proceed to the park via Masaka, check in at the lodge, and after lunch, you will take an exciting boat cruise to see wildlife. For example zebra, crocodiles, hippos, and birds like African fish eagle, Kingfishers, African finfoot, Cormorants, herons, and many more. Dinner and overnight at luxury Mihingo Lodge or budget Rwonyo Camp.

Day 2 - Travel to Bwindi National Park

A new day will start by refreshing yourself with a cup of tea and also enjoy a guided nature walk before traveling to Bwindi. This drive will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of mountain Gorillas, which is long but rewarding with best panoramic views of the green vegetation and traditional homesteads. Dinner and overnight stay at Luxury Gorilla Resort Lodge or Budget Buhoma Bandas.

Day 3 - Gorilla tracking

While waiting for the day of your gorilla tracking, you will wake up early in the morning and have your breakfast as you prepare to start your journey to greater experience. By 08:00 a.m, you will report to the headquarters for a briefing by the rangers as well as registration.

The guides will then lead you to track the gorillas through the bush pushing your way through the undergrowth and the thick creepers. When the gorillas are sighted, the visitors will be guided to within six meters of them and you will have a chance to sit around these great apes for a whole hour looking into their big eyes. These big giants are also powerful and can sometimes weigh over 250 kilograms.

The visitors have required a reasonable degree of fitness as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes since the trek can take from half an hour to six hours depending on the movement of these lovely primates. You will have your packed lunch after the trek. Dinner and overnight stay at Luxury Gorilla Resort Lodge or Budget Buhoma Bandas.

Day 4 - Travel to Queen Elizabeth

This is a day for Uganda wildlife safaris and game viewing. After your breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park for the wildlife trip and game viewing safari.

The journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park will take through the unique and attractive southern sector of the park, known as Ishasha, and the famous rear tree-climbing lions which cannot be seen in other National parks of Uganda. Before you reach the lodge, you may see wildlife antelopes, buffalo, warthogs, and elephants. Dinner and overnight at luxury Mweya safari lodge or Ihamba Safari Lodge.

Day 5 - Game tour and boat trip on Kazinga Channel

Early in the morning after taking breakfast, you will proceed to the park for a game drive in search for the early risers. You will have an opportunity to view many animals including buffalos, elephants, lions, and other more wildlife before retiring to your lodge for lunch. Boat trip along the Kazinga Channel will be the highlight of your afternoon tour.

The Kazinga channel offers a good spot for birders with a variety of bird species. Animals to see include school of hippos, buffalos, warthogs, and elephants. In the evening you can take a night game drive. Dinner and overnight at luxury Mweya safari lodge or Ihamba Safari Lodge.

Day 6 - Drive back to Kampala

Have breakfast in the morning then go for a drive as you prepare for a stopover at Mbarara for lunch, reaching Kampala in the afternoon.
