6 Day Trekking and Wildlife Safari in Uganda

Day 1 - Kampala and Lake Mburo National Park

The safari starts with a pick-up from a hotel in Uganda and a drive to the Western National Park of Uganda. The drive is about 228 kilometers from Kampala, a four-hour drive. You will have a stopover at the equator for a formative talk and the souvenirs. Then, proceed to the park via Masaka, check in at the lodge, and after lunch, you will take an exciting boat cruise to see wildlife. For example, zebras, crocodiles, hippos, and birds like the African fish eagle, Kingfishers, African finfoot, Cormorants, herons, and many more. Dinner and overnight at Budget Rwakobo Rock.

Day 2 - Travel to Bwindi National Park

A new day will start by refreshing yourself with a cup of tea, and also enjoy a guided nature walk before traveling to Bwindi. This drive will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of mountain gorillas, which is long but rewarding, with the best panoramic views of the green vegetation and traditional homesteads. Dinner and overnight stay at Rushaga Gorilla Lodge.

Day 3 - Gorilla tracking

While waiting for the day of your gorilla tracking, you will wake up early in the morning and have your breakfast as you prepare to start your journey to a greater experience. By 08:00 a.m., you will report to the headquarters for a briefing by the rangers as well as registration. The guides will then lead you to track the gorillas through the bush, pushing your way through the undergrowth and the thick creepers. When the gorillas are sighted, the visitors will be guided to within six meters of them, and you will have a chance to sit around these great apes for a whole hour, looking into their big eyes. These big giants are also powerful and can sometimes weigh over 250 kilograms. The visitors have required a reasonable degree of fitness as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes since the trek can take from half an hour to six hours, depending on the movement of these lovely primates. Day 4 - Travel to Queen Elizabeth

This is a day for Uganda wildlife safaris and game viewing. After your breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park for the wildlife trip and game viewing safari. The journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park will take you through the unique and attractive southern sector of the park, known as Ishasha, and the famous tree-climbing lions which cannot be seen in other National parks of Uganda. Before you reach the lodge, you may see wildlife antelopes, buffalo, warthogs, and elephants. Dinner and overnight at Tembo Safari Lodge.

Day 5 - Game tour and boat trip on Kazinga Channel

Early in the morning, after taking breakfast, you will proceed to the park for a game drive in search of the early risers. You will have an opportunity to view many animals, including buffalos, elephants, lions, and other wildlife, before retiring to your lodge for lunch. A boat trip along the Kazinga Channel will be the highlight of your afternoon tour. The Kazinga channel offers a good spot for birders with a variety of bird species. Animals to see include a school of hippos, buffalos, warthogs, and elephants. In the evening, you can take a night game drive. Dinner and overnight at Tembo Safari Lodge.

Day 6 - Drive back to Kampala

Have breakfast in the morning, then go for a drive as you prepare for a stopover at Mbarara for lunch, reaching Kampala in the afternoon.
