10 Day Safari in Botswana's Wildest North
Outstanding Botswana Safari
This tour is the ultimate pure wilderness experience. We take you from the Moremi to Savuti and on to the flood plains of Chobe — the home of many National Geographic “Big Cat” documentaries. If you are looking for a bespoke safari experience that has no equal, then this is the safari for you. Botswana’s Wildest North also takes you to one Khwai, one of Botswana's best kept secrets. Khwai is a community trust that abounds with some of the country’s most abundant sightings of lions, African wild dogs, leopards, and hyenas.
You can add an optional mokoro or boat cruise in Moremi and Khwai, or try a cultural activity to learn more about life in Botswana.

Program
Day 1 - Okavango Delta
Your professional guide will meet you upon your arrival at Maun International Airport (MUB), guide you to the official vehicles, and start your trip to the Okavango Delta. Lunch can be arranged for you upon your arrival in Maun, depending on your schedule. When deciding whether to arrange lunch, bear in mind that the next meal will be served when you arrive at the Delta 3 to 4 hours later.
Your friendly and professional camp staff and chef will welcome you upon your arrival at the Okavango Delta and take you to your already pitched camp. There will be ample of time for you to relax and refresh after the long trip. Please note that on your Mokoro excursion into the Delta, you cannot carry your full-service equipment due to weight restrictions on the canoes. Instead, you will use 3x3 meter dome tents with a mattress on the ground. You will have a separate shower and toilet enclosure close to your tent.
Day 2 - Okavango Delta
Wake up early in the morning for a light breakfast before you leave on a full-day safari. You will bring snacks, refreshments, and lunch along, which gives you a chance to walk on one of the nearby islands. Return to camp for dinner and a cozy evening in your comfortable canvas tent.
Day 3 - Mokoro trip to Kazinkini
Early wake up followed by a quick breakfast as you get ready to depart from the Okavango Delta and proceed to Kazinkini. The trip takes about 2 hours, and Unlimited Safari will set up camp upon arrival. There will be time to relax before you enjoy dinner, go for a night drive, and come back to camp for an enjoyable safari sleep.
Day 4 - Kazinkini
Early wake up for some delicious breakfast as you get ready to explore Kazinkini, a private concession next to Moremi Game Reserve and usually a stunning place in the rainy season, when wildlife move from the Moremi towards Kazinkini. Being allowed to off-road makes life on safari much easier in Kazinkini.
Day 5 - Kazinkini to Khwai
Early wake up for some delicious breakfast as we get ready to depart from Kazinkini on a game drive. Khwai is a private concession that gives you the opportunity to explore with spotlights after dark. This represents a rare chance to see some of the nocturnal animals that you rarely encounter during the day. You will also have the opportunity to explore the surrounding wilderness on foot and enjoy a close and personal encounter with Botswana’s flora and fauna. Packed lunch and snacks will be carried along with you. Then you will return to camp in the evening for showers, dinner, and a relaxing African night.
Day 6 - Khwai
It is time for a full‐day game drive in Khwai. It comes with a packed lunch to be enjoyed under a tree with good shade from the midday sun. In the evening, you will go back to the camp for a shower and dinner under the stars.
Day 7 - Khwai to Savuti
Wake up at 05:30 for a delicious breakfast before leaving on a game drive that takes us towards Savuti, about a 3-hour trip. Upon arrival, you will have some quality time to relax before enjoying an introductory game drive in Savuti.
Day 8 - Savuti
Wake up in the morning for a light breakfast before starting a full‐day game drive in Savuti, an area that had been without water for more than 30 years but has bounced back in full with amazing wildlife since it recovered from drought three years ago. Packed lunch and snacks will be carried with us so you can enjoy lunch in the bush before returning to camp in the evening for a shower and delicious dinner.
Day 9 - Savuti to Chobe National Park
Early wake up for a light breakfast before we depart on a game drive that takes us to Chobe National Park. More than 50% of Botswana’s elephants are found in Chobe National Park. Packed lunch and snacks will be carried along as the trip is about 5 to 6 hours’ long. Your camp will be set up by the time you arrive, so hot showers will be ready and waiting for you before you enjoy dinner.
Day 10 - Drop off in Kasane
Enjoy a light breakfast before a leisurely game drive out of Chobe National Park. The safari ends with your drop-off in Kasane.
