Location

This safari will take place at Arusha, Tanzania. You will arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport and be transferred to Arusha where your tour will start. Throughout the retreat, you will stay at different locations that include the Rich Hotel and budget camps near Machame Gate, Mount Kilimanjaro, and the Mweka Gate.

Tanzania has three safari circuits and each one of them would make Tanzania a top wildlife destination. The popular Northern circuit with the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater offers one of the best classical safaris in Africa, especially if timed with the annual wildebeest migration.

Tanzania offers excellent wildlife viewing. The Big Five and most other high profile animals are easily seen. The black rhino is very rare throughout, with the exception of the Ngorongoro Crater where a small resident population is often spotted.

The wildebeest migration is one of Africa's greatest wildlife spectacles. At least two million ungulates, mainly wildebeest, but also zebra and gazelles, move around the Mara-Serengeti eco-system.

Tanzania offers good wildlife viewing throughout the year. The best chance for seeing the wildebeest migration is during June and July and the time to see the wildebeest calving in the Serengeti is late January to February.
