Itinerary
Day 1: Airport - Sinharaja Rainforest (approximately four hours' drive)
Upon your arrival at the airport, you will receive a warm welcome from your chauffeur guide at the arrival lounge before proceeding to Sinharaja and a scenic drive to Sinharaja Rainforest, Sri Lanka’s only UNESCO-listed tropical rainforest. Arrive at Rainforest Eco Lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch before checking in. Relax and soak in the lush surroundings.
Embark on a guided nature trail through Sinharaja, home to a diverse ecosystem of endemic flora and fauna. Capture breathtaking moments in this pristine rainforest. Return to the lodge and unwind with mesmerizing rainforest views. Enjoy a delightful dinner and stay overnight at Rainforest Eco Lodge.
Day 2: Sinharaja - Yala National Park (approximately five and a half hours' drive)
- 05:00 - Early morning wake-up call for a sunrise trekking tour, offering the best chance to witness the rainforest’s magical beauty.
- 07:30 - Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast, then check out and head toward Yala National Park.
- 12:30 - Arrive at Tissamaharama, where a Leopard Nest safari jeep will transfer you to the luxury campsite.
- 13:00 - Check-in at Leopard Nest Yala, followed by an introduction to the camp’s unique wilderness experience.
