Sarova Shaba Game Lodge
Sarova Shaba Game Lodge is located in a natural oasis in the heart of the Shaba Game Reserve. The lodge is 314 kilometers away from Nairobi, a 45 minutes flight from Nairobi to Shaba or Samburu airstrip or a picturesque five hours drive through the curving roads around Mount Kenya crossing the equator at Nanyuki.
It is set along the bank of the Ewaso Nyiro River laid out around the natural springs that flow into the river. The Lodge has a virtual mini forest of indigenous trees, a fish pond, and a large free-form swimming pool.
Serena Sweet Waters Tented Camp

Program
Day 1
You will depart from Nairobi and drive to Samburu game reserve along the Ewaso Nyiro River, the lifeline of the beautiful arid land. Here, you will see thorn scrubs rises against a backdrop of distant hills and the great red table Ololokwe Mountain.
The Samburu game reserve is within the lands of the colorful Samburu people, close relatives of the Maasai, and is the home to a number of wildlife species rarely found elsewhere in Kenya such as Gravy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and Beisa Oryx, all found only at the north of the equator. You will stay overnight at a lodge or camp. Lunch and dinner are included on the first day.
Day 2
After breakfast, you will have a full day game drive at the park. Get to see various wildlife in their natural domain.
You will then return to the hotel/lodge/camp and have time to relax enjoying the facilities offered. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
Day 3
On this day, you will have an early morning game drives to the scenic mountains as the predators creeping for their meals. After the game drive, you will go back to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, you will have some time to relax enjoying the facilities offered at the hotel
During lunch time, you will be served in the hotel as you wait for afternoon until late game drives to close the day. A sundowner cocktail will be served and have a seat at a scenic place to enjoy the vicinity as you enjoy your drinks. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
Day 4
After breakfast, you will depart to Aberdare National Park and is expected to arrive at the lodge around noon. You will then, check in and relax at the hotel as you enjoy its facilities while waiting for lunch to be served. After your lunch, an afternoon game drive will be conducted in the Aberdare National Park. Here, you will have the chance to enjoy the game drives in the hilly parts of the Central of Kenya.
If time permits, you may have the chance to visit the highest waterfall in Kenya, also believed to be a source of River Chania. You may also be able to catch a glimpse of the black rhinos, elephants, leopards, and much more.
After the game drive, you will be driven back to your lodge for overnight stay. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in the price.
Day 5
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and head back to Nairobi. You will arrive in Nairobi around noon and be transferred to the airport to catch your onward flight home as we bid farewell. Breakfast is included.
