Program
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Meet and greet with an airport transfer to your hotel in Nairobi. Depending on what time you arrive, there will be scheduled activities for you to engage in during the day. Overnight stay at a city hotel
Day 2: Nairobi to Kisumu
After breakfast, you will check out and be transferred to the airport for your onward flight to Kisumu where you will be received by a representative. The flight will take about one hour. The organizers will then commence the tour of the beautiful lakeside city, where you will get to take a boat ride to Ndere Island inside Lake Victoria with a variety of games available.
You will also get to sample the local cuisine which is the catch of the day, either a tilapia fish or a Nile perch. Dietary restrictions will also be accommodated. Later, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in and relaxation. In the evening, enjoy a relaxing sundowner at the hotel, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Kisumu
On this day, you will get to visit some historical sites in Kisumu as well as other attractions, such as the Crying Stone, which is believed to be a representation of a mother crying for her child. You will also visit a prehistoric site, the Thimlich Ohinga Pre-Historic site. You will later depart for Impala Sanctuary where you will get to enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the lake. Enjoy a tour of the sanctuary before you return back to the hotel for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Kisumu to Maasai Mara
After breakfast, you will depart for Maasai Mara. The four-and-a-half-hour journey will be exciting, as you will be able to see all the plantations in the area for sugarcane as this region is widely known for that, together with other vegetation. You will arrive in the Mara and enjoy a game drive as you head to your hotel for check-in and lunch.
After lunch, relax and make use of the hotel facilities before you depart for an evening game drive. Return back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Maasai Mara
On this day, after a hearty breakfast, depart for a game drive to enjoy the variety of games present in the reserve. Enjoy the numerous games and birdlife present. Return to the camp or lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy the day at leisure. You can decide to indulge in a spa session for a price or the various activities at the hotel. Visit a Maasai village and learn about the local culture and customs. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay. You can also enjoy either a balloon safari or a bush walk on this day for an additional price.
Day 6: Maasai Mara to Naivasha
After breakfast, depart for Naivasha, home to the freshwater Lake Naivasha. After a five-hour trip, arrive at the hotel to collect lunch boxes, then depart for Hell’s Gate National Park, where you can see the beautiful Mvuke Geothermal Spa, a naturally heated pool where you will enjoy lunch on the lawns. After which, you will then enjoy a swim.
Later, depart for the shores of Lake Naivasha, where you will board a boat to enjoy a relaxing sunset boat ride as the sun sets over the horizon. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Naivasha to Nairobi to Diani
You will depart for Nairobi where you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight to Diani for your beach vacation. The flight from Nairobi to Diani will take about one and a quarter hours. There, you will be met by Rosolo Safaris' representatives who will then transfer you to your hotel. This will be a day of relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 8: Diani
On this day, you can decide whether to go for a snorkeling excursion or to stay at the hotel at your own cost. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 9: Diani
Spend the full day at your own leisure. There are activities such as kite surfing, wind surfing, sky diving, and deep sea fishing, among others at a cost.
Day 10: Diani to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO)
On this final day, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight back to Nairobi. Depending on your departure time, you may indulge in a Karen Blixen Museum Tour, National Museum Tour, or Bomas of Kenya Cultural Tour. Transfer back to the airport for your onward flight back home.
