Lenchada Tourist Camp
Lenchada Tourist Camp is a budget semi-luxury accommodation and eco-friendly safari tented camp in the north-west of the Masai Mara. Located on the Oloolaimutia hills on the Western border of this world-famous reserve, Lenchada Tourist Camp offers the perfect starting point for your safari.
The camp accommodates 21 persons in single, double, and triple accommodation. Each of these accommodation options suit to different traveler’s needs but the high standards of service are maintained throughout the camp no matter what option you choose.
The friendly receptionists are available and can deal with any of your inquiries and questions and furnish you with all the up to date information on various tour activities in Masai Mara as well as bookings, no matter what activity you are looking at doing from game drives, balloon safaris, walking, trekking, and cultural visits.
Lenchada Tourist Camp has en-suite bath rooms with hot and cold water, western toilet, changing rooms, and lockers for valuables. The tent canvas wall front can be opened completely to allow an open view from the sleeping and bathroom areas. A generator is provided to charge phones and cameras from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
Programma
Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve
Pick up from hotel in Nairobi, meet the rest of your group. For those with payment balance, clear first. After safari briefing, you depart for Masai Mara through the dramatic Great Rift Valley. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is the home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, and Rhino. Lunch at Narok town and later proceed to your camp, check in and relax before departing for the afternoon game run.
The Mara Game Reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied and easy to see. Residents of the park’s are Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland, and thousands of the plains games including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson’s, and grants Gazelles.

Day 2: Maasai Mara to Nairobi
Early morning tea / coffee or hot chocolate, then depart for a morning game drive. Here you find the Old Africa of the movies, with rolling grasslands dotted by acacia trees and sweeping plains teeming with wildlife. After a full English breakfast back at the camp, depart for Nairobi by road.

Maasai Mara National Reserve derives its name from the indigenous people of Kenya – the Maasai tribe – and the Mara River that cuts through the park. The Mara is also home to the richest concentration of wildlife, including the “Big Five” (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo), zebras, antelope, gnus, oribis, hyenas, giraffes, warthogs, gazelles, hartebeests, hippos, crocodiles and others. The park has the largest concentration of African lions, including the black-maned lion.

The wildebeest have always migrated, but nobody thought they did so in such large numbers. The Maasai Mara provides the best view of the famous wildebeest migration as the animals cross the Mara River between July and August.
