If you think you already know Kenya, then cliches will be out of the question as this safari will take you to unspoiled places and an adventure in havens you have yet to see. You will visit legendary parks that have defined the African wild long before the sanctuaries have been crowded. In this trip, you will experience endless skies in vast savannas. You will witness game as they roam freely in their homes. Tsavo East and West National Park, Amboseli National Park, and Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary will be bliss for you as you dream of lions, leopards, rhinos, buffaloes, and elephants, and find them right before your eyes.
You will be accommodated in various lodges or camps along the way as follows:
Perched on the top of a cliff-faced hill, Voi Safari Lodge is uniquely designed to be a hinge-like structure overlooking Kenya's Tsavo East plains extending as far as the undulating terrain of the Yatta Plateaus. This vantage positioning of the lodge has made it a stopover for many safari adventures, nature lovers, and holidaymakers who are assured of sampling Kenya's wildlife attractions that continuously beat a track to the three water holes sunk by the ledge below the cliff. The lodge is also popular with the travelers who pass along the Mombasa - Nairobi highway. It is located 165 kilometers from Mombasa and has the advantage of being within a park that is served with a good infrastructure including communication facilities.
Voi Safari Lodge has 52 en-suite standard rooms with three stories and stands in proud contrast to its rocky surroundings. Voi Safari Lodge's swimming pool has a view of wildlife at the waterholes and the plains beyond. The unique dug up rock swimming pool has crystal clear water which invites to a refreshing dip after a dusty day on Kenya safari. Voi Safari Lodge also has a restaurant serving good food on a buffet basis and a well-stocked bar with smashing views. The surroundings of the lodge are dotted by wild and planted flora that stand out beautifully and liven up the rocky terrain.
Officially opened in 2003, the lodge is situated on a 25-acre site on the boundary of Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s largest game parks with spectacular views of nearby volcanic outcrops, such as the Kasigau, Sagalla and Mwakingali Hills. Designed to blend unassumingly into the surrounding environment, the lodge boasts a natural waterhole often attracting big game, including elephant, lion, cheetah, buffalo as well as a rich variety of birdlife.
Accommodating up to 300 guests, all rooms have spacious en-suite bathrooms and are furnished in African decor that is replicated throughout the lodge. The luxury rooms comprise two four-poster beds and views of the Savannah, which one can enjoy from the comfort of one’s balcony or terrace.
AA Amboseli Lodge is built in a three-tier architectural design and is strategically located two kilometers from Amboseli National Park's main gate (Kimana Gate) and conveniently within the Emali-Loitoktok tarmac road. It is 240 kilometers from Nairobi, 16 kilometers from Amboseli airstrip, 20 kilometers from the Emali, 20 kilometers from the Emali-Loitoktok tarmac road and commands a panoramic view of the snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, the world’s highest free standing mountain. With a total of 98 rooms, the lodge is intimate and friendly with many personal touches.
Kibo Safari Camp is a luxury tented camp in Amboseli National Park at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Kibo Safari Camp has 73 self-contained tents for single, double, triple, and family accommodation. It has 52 standard rooms, all equipped with a bath and shower, as well as a balcony with a view of the vast wilderness and floodlit waterholes. It has two restaurants. The main restaurant, built in an open-air style, has a view of floodlit waterholes and the Leopard dining tree. There is also the Leopard view bar open in the evenings before the arrival of the leopards from the wilderness. Guests can enjoy their meals as they watch the leopards feast, the other animals drink water and make love, and the birds compete in their melodies.
