Uganda Gorilla and Chimp Safari Tour

This shall be an Uganda 10-day trip and safari leading to Murchison Falls. You will get opportunities for game drives, climb the top of the falls, and enjoy a boat drive along the Victoria Nile while on this tour. After Kibale Forest chimpanzee treks and the Bigodi nature walk, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park for game drives and a boat cruise along Kazinga Channel. The last part of the safari is to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park via Ishasha sector where you can see climbing lions. The last thing to do on this trip is going for gorilla tracking. This is when seeing endangered mountain gorillas shall be. This is a trip that brings a sense of nature through exploring Uganda's well known game parks.

You will be staying or resting in hotels and lodges depending on the place of visit. You will enjoy the conducive environment and the gentle breeze in these places.

Program

Day 1: Entebbe – Arrival

Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be warmly received by JM Jungle Safaris Uganda for your transfer to an overnight hotel in Entebbe – arrive for dinner. Overnight at The Boma Lodge for one night before proceeding to the beautiful west side of Uganda.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

The driver shall take you to Murchison Falls by driving to the northwest. You will go through a famous place known as Luwero Triangle and later to Masindi via Ziwa Rhino Project. The driver shall lead you to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary so that you may trek with the rhinos. When it reaches lunch time, you shall proceed on to Murchison Falls.

Day 3: Boat cruise and morning game drive

In the morning, you will drive to have an exploration of the area near the northern part of the river Nile. You stand an excellent chance of seeing elephants, lions, giraffes, hartebeest, and other different kinds of birds. Go for lunch. After lunch, in the afternoon, you'll go for a boat ride.

You will take a boat to the bottom of the falls and see how the water pushes itself out of the rocks. Notice the hippos and other animals drinking water from the edge of the river. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Start the day with a beautiful cup of African coffee and the driver will take you through Kibale National Park. You will view the nearby homes, beautiful countryside and the farms in the Albertine Rift escarpment area. The drive shall take you 7-8 hours by car, and on reaching, check into the hotel.

Day 5: Chimp trekking and Bigodi Swamp

Eat your breakfast, then proceed to the main office for briefing. Proceed to the forest to look for chimpanzees; game rangers know exactly where to find the chimpanzees without any hassle. On finding the chimps, spend one hour in their presence, and go back for lunch. Proceed to Bigodi Swamp, which has a great view of birds, have dinner, and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Right after breakfast in the morning, you will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. The driver then proceeds to the south to view the region near Crater Lake and get nice sights of undulating hills. Probably you might view some animals on the way by the roadside in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 7: Boat cruise and morning game drive

Take a warm cup of African coffee, then proceed to the park for the drive to view buffaloes, lions, and numerous species of birds. Retire to the lodge for lunch, later carrying on for a boat drive along Kazinga; this is so much fun.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi National Park

Take Africa’s coffee, and after, the driver will transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for gorilla trekking. You may pass through the Ishaha area where you can view climbing lions and other animals. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 9: Gorilla trekking at Bwindi National Park

Take a cup of coffee, then proceed to the main office for instructions from the game rangers. Take with you lunch from the lodge, plenty of water to drink, equipment for trekking. Penetrate into the jungle, followed by walking to see the gorillas. Now you will be free to spend one hour with these fellow creatures before going back to the lodge.

Day 10: Transfer back to Entebbe

You will have breakfast, and afterwards, the driver shall be ready to transfer you back to Entebbe. Stop over in Mbarara town to take your lunch and proceed to the Uganda equator to take photos. On reaching Kampala, the driver will drop you at the hotel.
