Location
The safari will take place in Kenya. Kisumu is Kenya's third city after Nairobi and Mombasa. Kisumu City is situated in the west of the country on Lake Victoria, Lake Victoria is the second largest freshwater lake in the world, and although Western Kenya does not attract many tourists and is blissfully free of safari minibuses to Masai Mara or other tour attractions.
With the Kisumu International Airport now fully operational, most budget travelers and luxury tourists around the Kisumu area prefer to begin their budget travel from Kisumu City. The majority of people in Kisumu are the Luo community whose main activity is fishing, which is why whenever you mention fish in Kenya, people think of Luos, same with Maasai with their cattle.
