Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park
Depart Arusha by road to Tarangire National Park for some incredible game viewing. Tarangire is a small park that offers some excellent sights of the Tanzanian wildlife. During the dry season, Tarangire National Park comes alive as incredibly varied wildlife and bird life congregate on the Tarangire River, the only permanent source of water in Tarangire National Park. You will retire for the night at a beautiful lodge that is set inside the park and has stunning views and a unique atmosphere. Dinner and overnight at Sangaiwe Tented Lodge or a similar accommodation.
Day 2: Full day in Tarangire National Park
Morning and afternoon game drives in the park that offers wonderful panoramas of wide savannah grasslands dotted with open acacia woodland studded with large Baobab trees.
Elephants can be seen in herds of up to 600 at a time, along with masses of wildebeest, zebra, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, and Oryx that migrate from the dry Masai steppe to the gleaming Tarangire River in search of water during the dry season. 550 species of birds have been recorded here. Also, the park has tree-climbing pythons.
Dinner and overnight at Sangaiwe Tented Lodge or similar.
Day 3: Tarangire National Park - Arusha town
At 8 a.m., after breakfast, depart by road back to Arusha or Moshi. At 1 p.m., arrive in Arusha. Transfer to your hotel / residence.
