Located high on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, the Maasai Mara Sopa Lodge was one of the first safari lodges to be built in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, a reason why its gardens and trees are so lush and mature. The lodge has 50 guest cottages divided into two wings to either side of the main public areas. Each of these houses has two spacious guest rooms with queen and king size beds, mosquito nets, electronic safes, dressing tables, en-suite bathrooms, and sheltered verandas that all have views over the gardens and the game reserve beyond.

Program

Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara

At 7 a.m., you'll be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi or from the airport. You'll then drive to Maasai Mara which takes approximately 5 hours from Nairobi. On the way, stop along the Great Rift Valley for a short time, take pictures and proceed. On arrival, you'll have lunch and check-in at the lodge or camp. After lunch, proceed for an afternoon game drive till late in the evening. You'll then return to the lodge / camp for dinner.

Day 2: Maasai Mara - Nairobi

You'll enjoy an early breakfast at the camp or lodge. After breakfast, depart Maasai Mara with an enroute game viewing, If guests choose to visit the Maasai cultural village, the guide will drive them there and enjoy the cultural visit at their own cost. Thereafter, drive to Nairobi and be dropped off at the hotel or airport.
