Miti Mingi Eco Camp (2 nights)

The camp is situated within the Masai Mara ecosystem and on the banks of Ololaimutia River, which is a watering point for most of the wild animals, especially elephants, buffalo, antelopes, etc. This small and exclusive campsite comprises 25 tents.

The tents are furnished with all the amenities required by the modern traveler. Decorated in calming safari tones, natural woods, wrought iron, and crisp cotton, each tent has been meticulously planned to maximize comfort. All tents have four-poster beds and mosquito nets, en-suite with a shower, WC, and flush toilets, hot and cold running water, and electricity with a voltage of 240 volts.

Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara

Early morning pick up from the airport to Africa Magical Scenery Tours' office to meet with members of a small group for the safari. Thereafter, depart for Maasai Mara, making stops at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for sightings of this geographical feature that has its origins in Israel, and later stop at Narok for lunch. Arrive in the afternoon, check in, relax, and later go for an evening safari game drive. Experience a wonderful dinner and overnight at Miti Mingi Eco Camp.

Day 2: Maasai Mara

This day, it is not only used for a full-day game viewing, but also is when the exciting optional activity of a hot air balloon safari is done. For the balloon safari, you will need to rise at the crack of dawn so that you can be airborne just before sunrise. This magical experience is later followed by a champagne breakfast. Full-day game viewing can be enjoyed from past breakfast till the afternoon. Enjoy your dinner and overnight at the Miti Mingi Eco Camp.

Day 3: Maasai Mara - Nakuru

Breakfast at the camp, then check out. This morning can be spent with an optional visit to a Maasai village to learn about the culture and traditions of the Maasai people. Depart for Nakuru, lunch en route, with scenic distant views of Mt.Longonot and Lake Naivasha. On arrival in the afternoon, check in and relax at your accommodation.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha

You have a boat ride and visit the Crescent Island, in this freshwater lake, to go and see hippos and fish eagles at an extra cost. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha - Amboseli

Day 6: Amboseli full day

Early breakfast, followed by a full-day game drive. In the afternoon, one can opt for the optional activity of visiting the Masai village. The cost of this visit is paid directly to the Masai elders. Dinner and overnight.

About the safari

Start in Maasai Mara, where you will witness incredible wildlife and, if visiting in season, the Great Migration. Next, explore Lake Nakuru, famous for its flamingos and rhino sanctuary. Discover the beauty of Lake Naivasha, with its serene waters and abundant birdlife. Finally, end in Amboseli, where you will see elephants with the stunning Mount Kilimanjaro as a backdrop.

Masai Mara National Reserve

Masai Mara National Reserve has one of Kenya's vast plains filled with a variety of animals. It is also best known for the wildebeest migration that usually happens in the months of July to October, which is one of the world's natural wonders. There is also great wildlife viewing all year round.

Lake Nakuru National Park

Known for its prolific bird life, including flamingos, the park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino while species like Cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline

Hell’s Gate National Park

There are over 100 species of birds in the park, including vultures, Verreaux's eagles, augur buzzards, and swifts. African Buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle, and baboons are also common. The park is also home to Klipspringer Antelope and Chalmer's Mountain Reedbuck. The park has attractions like the Olkaria and Hobley's, two extinct volcanoes, and the obsidian forms from the cool molten lava. Within Hell's Gate is the Hells Gate Gorge, lined with red cliffs which contain two volcanic plugs.

Amboseli National Park

At this park, herds of elephants can be seen drinking at one of the swampy springs, which trace their source from Kilimanjaro's ice cap.
