An informal sitting room is located in the Casa Tapira and offers a place for the guests to gather. The inviting hammock room provides an area to relax and take in the spectacular surroundings in complete comfort, being a favorite of both guests and staff.
The communal comedor is spacious and offers guests an opportunity to enjoy the delicious regional Chullachaqui cuisine, while discussing their exciting adventures of the day.
There is no electricity in the lodge as they prefer to provide a more natural experience. However, they do have a small generator for charging batteries, laptops, etc. Night illumination is provided by kerosene lamplight, providing a magical ambiance. Water for all bathroom facilities is provided by an on-site well.
Casa Oropéndola and Casa Colibrí
Casa Oropendola and Casa Colibri cabins are nestled along the jungle’s edge. Each cabin has three spacious rooms with rainforest views and private en-suite bathrooms. Each room can accommodate up to six guests.
Casa Tapira
Casa Tapira is the main entrance to the lodge and also houses six of the newest rooms. Quaint and economical, these rooms overlook the Rio Tapira and offer shared, fully functional bathroom facilities, located directly across the hall from the sleeping rooms. Each room can comfortably sleep two to three guests.
Hammock room
A favorite of the guests, the hammock room offers a spectacular 360° panoramic view of the river and surrounding rain forest. It is fully screened on all sides to keep bugs out. There are plenty of cozy hammocks for relaxing, a book exchange, and a veranda overlooking the river from the lodge, offering a nice spot for birdwatching.
It is a perfect refuge where you can relax, read a book, take a nap, or enjoy listening to the symphony provided by the resident birds and other creatures of the rain forest.
