Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge (1 night)
This is a luxury lodge located on the crater rim of Ngorongoro Crater. It stands on the edge of a towering terracotta escarpment with panoramic views over the glittering alkaline waters of the lake. The Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area lies immediately adjacent to the Serengeti National Park and 180 kilometers from Arusha.
The lodge offers 75 spacious rooms housed in a circular, double-story, whitewashed fashion. Each room has its own private veranda, while the interior decor reflects the blue of the alkaline waters and the pink of its flamingos.

Day 1: Ngorongoro National Park
The drive from Arusha to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area takes about five hours.
Upon arrival, you will check into your accommodation and enjoy an afternoon game drive within the crater. This is a fantastic opportunity to witness incredible wildlife, including zebras, hippos, buffaloes, and the rare black rhino, all set against the unique and stunning landscape of the crater floor.
You will conclude your day by enjoying a beautiful sunset over the crater before returning to your lodge. Lunch and dinner are included. Overnight stay will be at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

Day 2: Full-day safari in Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will return to the Ngorongoro Crater for another exciting game drive. The early morning hours are ideal for wildlife sightings, as animals are most active during the cooler temperatures. During this drive, you will explore key areas of the crater, including Lake Magadi, famous for its flamingos, and the hippo pool, where you can observe large groups of hippos lounging in the water.
You will also have the opportunity to spot more of the Big Five as well as elephants, giraffes, and wildebeests.
At around midday, you will take a break for a picnic lunch in the crater, surrounded by nature, before continuing your safari. In the afternoon, you can return to any areas you may have missed or relax and enjoy the stunning views.
In the late afternoon, you will begin your journey back to Arusha, reflecting on the unforgettable experiences of the day. Arrive in Arusha in the evening.
