We had a most excellent safari! Rajab was an amazing and knowledgeable safari guide...we can't thank him enough for making the trip so special for what we hoped to see and for telling us things we did not know. He was so professional and personable too, making the experience very enjoyable. Ahmed made the transaction so easy and accommodated our last minute change requests to extend the journey. Booking it was very easy and I felt confident about it.
But seriously, Mikumi is a WONDERFUL site to see animals...and the Mikumi Wildlife Camp is an overnight setting that matched my dreams of being in Africa, with the ability to see animals while eating or sipping a refreshment...all the while in the company of genuine people who live there, from the Masai guides who watch over the place, to the wonderful staff, including Ali!, who provide for guests and make them feel so welcome. The food and accommodations were great. I cannot say enough good about this experience. And I have traveled E. Africa before (tho many years ago). This was by far the most genuine experience I have had. And animals galore...from the usual lions, giraffes, elephants to the unusual, like an eagle owl, a huge lizard scaling a tree, and beautiful birds whose names I have forgotten. Best was the ability to see the behavior of all, aptly guided by Rajab, who gave us insights, plus time to observe what was happening.
All in all, we are so very thankful for this experience!!
Honestly, the only negative was the 6-h duration of the drive from Dar to Mikumi, but that in itself was very interesting in terms of seeing this part of the world.
Re the safari, I have nothing we didn't like.
From the minute Ahmed and Ibrahim picked us up from the ferry port, we knew we were in good hands. Ahmed's communication was brilliant and was very responsive. The vehicle was good and safe with Wi-Fi and a UK plug charger in it also. We spent a lot of time in the vehicle over the 2 days and had no complaints. Now, the best bit was Ibrahim. We could not have asked for a better driver / guide. He was incredibly conscientious about ensuring we had the best time. His knowledge is second to none. He has studied wildlife and has a real genuine passion for the animals and their wellbeing. This meant when he spoke it was from the heart and on point. He took time to explain everything at every point from the minute he picked us up in Dar to the minute he dropped us off to a hotel he arranged for us on our return near the airport. Nothing was too much (we asked to stop a few times and even did a detour for him to find us a cable for our music). Above all he was a caring and decent person and we felt totally safe in his hands at all time, and truly believe we had the best guide possible. He knew where to find animals which absolutely made our experience. Our next safari will no doubt be with these guys.

Wildness Safari is very prompt in responding their mail. Thumbs up to Ahmed, the safari expert, for arranging the trip. Time fled very fast as 10 days went like 2 days. Everything was well arranged and went as planned. We had a great adventure at the Selous, Ruaha, Udzungwa and Mikumi. These places are awesome and there were few tourists in these places. We had seen most of the animals in their nature. We had a good vehicle and a safari guide Ibra. Ibra was s safe driver and he is very professional who has knowledge of flora and fauna. We have left our heart and will be coming back again. Thus, we recommend Wildness Safari.

The driver and guide, Ibra, was terrific. In 7 days, we visited Selous Game Reserve, Ruaha National Park, and Mikumi National Park. We saw much wildlife in their natural setting, stayed in a great lodge (Hilltop Lodge by Ruaha which was fantastic), enjoyed good food, delicious fruits, saw very beautiful countryside and people as we drove from site to site. All was great and safe for the angst offered by the 20-year-old Landcruiser which ultimately came through in the end.

we are back from our wonderful trip to Mikumi Wildlife Park. Our friends, my husband and I believe that Ibrahim is the best guide in the world!
It was for my husband and I our 7th safari, and really, we’ve never had such a good guide. He knows a lot, and would like to share it with us, I learned a lot from him. He’s patient, kind, pleasant, polite. We have learned a lot and laughed a lot! Really, we’re very happy that he was our guide! He is very, very good at finding the animals at the right time! The next time we’ll come, we sure ask for him again.

We had a fantastic safari with Wildness Safari Ltd. Last week to Mikumi. The driver/guide Mr. Sky was an extremely nice person and we highly appreciated his very safe driving skills. The vehicle was an old Land Rover with all the Safari Equipment and lovingly maintained by the owner. Seats were comfortable, seatbelts and cooling box available, etc.
Highly recommended for any trip from Dar es Salaam to any park.

My friend and I booked a private tour with Wildness Safari at the beginning of September, and had an absolutely incredible time! We planned on doing the southern circuit of Tanzania for 13 days/12 nights, spending time at Mikumi National Park, Ruaha National Park, and Selous Game Reserve during our trip.
I cannot comment on the behind-the-scenes as my friend handled all the bookings for this trip, but it was his third time using Wildness Safaris, so that is definitely saying something about the good service they provide! The owner, Ahmed was very accommodating with our needs from the start, and the tour he helped us plan was very well organised.
Our guide Rajab was phenomenal throughout the entire trip, going out of his way to make sure that we had a good experience and saw as much wildlife as possible. He was very knowledgeable about the various birds and wildlife in the different areas, and his ability to spot the animals so effortlessly was mind-blowing. This was certainly a major advantage of choosing to book a guided tour instead of a self-drive option, as I can guarantee that we would have missed out on a lot more sightings!
The camps we stayed at were very tranquil with the basic facilities needed. They were all situated outside the parks, but within a short 30 minute (maximum) drive from the main gates. Wildness Safaris arranged for a chef to travel with us during the trip so we didn't have to worry about anything, and we were spoiled with the food that was prepared for us - really delicious !
We saw loads of wildlife during our trip, including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, greater kudu, wildebeest, bush buck, impala, as well and many different bird species. Wildness Safari also helped us book a boat cruise and walking safari, both of which I would highly recommend. It was my first time to Tanzania and I can honestly say that I had one of the best experiences of my life, and it was all thanks to Wildness Safaris! Their staff are very friendly, guides are knowledgeable and skilled, and the tours are very well organized - highly recommended! I left a piece of my heart in Tanzania, and I hope I get the chance to go back there! And if I do, I will definitely use this company again! Special thanks to Ahmed, Rajab and our chef, Leonard!
I had the most amazing time ever and it was the most amazing experience ever! The drivers are all the nicest people ever and i am definitely going to go back!
I visited Mikumi Wildness Safari Park with my school as an annual event organisation. I had a wonderful time and everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly. Safari was the highlight of my trip because it's surreal to see such beautiful animals living in their natural habitat; it's nothing like what you see on TV, when you see them in real life it's just outstanding am I was taken away by it all. I got to see: Lions, elephants, giraffes, inparlor, red backs, crocodiles, hippotomus, zebras, wilderbeast, birds, etc.... Before we were even 2 minutes into the National Park we saw 2 twin lions and another lion by itself, that was incredible. Moreover, the view was just spectacular. My driver, Rajarvo was very kind and welcoming, he also was extremely knowledgable on the whole park and each individual animal, this was great because it gave us a eternal experience of the whole safari as we learnt a lot about the animal as and the park. Ahmed was also a great help, the trip organiser in Tanzania, so thank you. As going as a big school group it must have been stressful for them to organise everything but that didn't change anything. The experience was phenomenal an I love every bit of it! In the future I will defiantly try to revise Mikumi if I have time. All the staff were very friendly and pleasant towards us all which made ou stay even more fantastic. I especially loved on the last night when the massai Warriors danced for us and we got to join in, that was an eventful experience that I will never forget. Furthermore, the food was lovely and the view while eating your food was winderful to. Overall, I had the best time of my life and I will never forget it. I have many memories that will stay with me forever from Tanzania and Mikumi Safari Park and I want to thank you all for making this happen. P.S. Trying to bobo (food that the elephants ate from the tree) was pretty cool, it was very sweet and chewy.
Thanks again to you all, Niamh (student from UCC school)
