South Luangwa National Park

It is definitely one of the top 5 wildlife parks in the whole of Africa. Lions are the most common big cat seen during the day and you may well be privileged to witness a pride hunting. Spoyyed Hyenas are relatively common and you will see a steady increase of wild dog sightings; from a fairly low base due to it being depleted by an anthrax outbreak in the late 80's. Birdlife is also rich with around 400 species recorded, you may spot Carmine bee-eaters, African skimmers and giant eagle owls on the night drives.

  • Boat excursions to nearby islands
  • Daily meals
  • Jeep safaris

"We had a fabulous holiday in India in October. We visited Kanha and Pench National parks. It was a really well organized holiday. All our requirements were accommodated and we were provided with very good advice on available options. The lodges selected were very good and both were very close to the national parks. We also had 2 sittings at Pench. Plenty of other wildlife at both parks.and the whole trip was an amazing experience. Allan and Kirsty most obviously have well researched the holidays they offer and were able to provide a lot of useful hints and tips. We highly recommend Wildlife Trails and look forward to our next adventure in Canada, which also being organized by Allan."

"Wildlife Trails organized a fantastic road trip USA for us last year. Taking in several of America's national parks we spent an amazing week in Yellowstone with Nathan Varley, enjoyed beautiful wild flowers in Yosemite, spectacular scenery in Kings Canyon and Sequoia and slowly cooked amongst stunning rocks and sand dunes in Death Valley. The highlight of the trip had to be our bed and breakfast location just outside Joshua Tree National Park. This was the second time we had traveled with Wildlife Trails and we would highly recommend them."
