During this trip, you will spend 1 night at Phalaborwa bed and breakfast and spend the rest of the nights in comfortable en-suite bungalows and guest houses inside Kruger National Park in the main rest camps. You don't need to worry about the electricity as the camps offer 24-hour electricity and daily services.

At the first time you arrive in Johannesburg, you will fly east towards Kruger National Park and land at Hendrik Van Eck Airport (PHW) in Phalaborwa, where you will be met and transferred to a local bed and breakfast in town. Early the following morning, you will meet Stu Porter and drive the short distance to the Phalaborwa Entrance Gate of Kruger National Park. Stu Porter will lead the tour and a offer photo tuition and guidance.

Over the next 14 days, you will travel the length of this enormous park. Starting in the far north, you will gradually move south exploring the many different habitats and eco-zones that make Kruger National Park such an alluring location.

At 05:00, you will have a small breakfast and depart the camp at 05:30 with packed snacks and lunch. You will visit places like Punda Maria Camp, Shingwedzi Camp, Letaba Camp, and Skukuza Camp to witness the morning and afternoon game drives. However, the itinerary for each day is very flexible on this safari. You can choose to stay out the entire day or return to camp for a midday break. You can also choose to walk around at the camps where birds are often prolific and very habituated to people. A tripod and Wimberley head will be useful for this. Afterward, you will normally have dinner between 18:30 and 19:00.

Using the photographic safari vehicle as a mobile hide, you will also explore some of the most beautiful river systems in Africa. You will also go to see enormous Jackalberry, Nyala, Sycamore Fig, and Sausage Trees line the banks of the Luvuvhu, Shingwedzi, Mphongolo, and Letaba Rivers, all are perfect habitats for birds. Interestingly, a lot of excellent bird photos are often achieved right inside the grounds of the different camps you stay at. Walking around the camps and shooting from tripods are very productive as the birds have become habituated to the presence of people. At the end of the safari, you will fly from Kruger National Park to Johannesburg where the tour will end.

"This was our second trip with Stu and our first in Tanzania. The sightings exceeded all our expectations including a selection of births, deaths, and marriages with a variety of wildlife. One of many highlights was seeing 22 lions drinking at a stream in the Ngorongoro Crater. The accommodation was once again first class, even the tented camps. Stu, together with our African guides, James and Jeremiah, managed to always have the vehicle in exactly the right position for the best pictures. I can't wait to go again."
