Program

Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara

Depart from Nairobi in the morning and drive to the floor of the Rift Valley to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in Narok town where you will enjoy your lunch. Later, you will proceed to Masai Mara and head for your afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at either Enchoro Wildlife Camp or Mara Sidai Camp or Masai Mara.

The Masai Mara is Kenya's finest and most outstanding wildlife sanctuary where gentle rolling grassland ensures animals are never out of sight. The climate is gentle, rarely too hot with well-spread rainfall year round. The sensation of the great wildebeest migration between July and October is unparalleled. The wildlife is far from being confined within the reserve boundaries and an even larger area extends beyond the game reserve.

Centuries of close association with the wildlife has resulted in an almost symbiotic relationship where wildlife and Masai people live in peace with one another. The first sight of this game park is breathtaking. There is nowhere else on earth to compare with this wildlife marvel. The combination of a gentle climate, scenic splendor and untold numbers of wildlife makes the Masai Mara National Reserve Kenya's most popular inland destination.

Day 2 - 3: Masai Mara

Full days spent exploring the park in search of the Big Five. Morning and afternoon game drives are offered. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp. The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe. Over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant.

It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savannah such as lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena, and vultures.

Day 4: Mara - Nairobi

Morning game drives then proceed to Nairobi to arrive by 16:00 where the safari ends.

Location

Masai Mara is Kenya's most celebrated game park. It offers the possibility of seeing the Big Five and many other species of game. This is where the great wildebeest migration takes place, a spectacle to behold for any would-be visitors to Kenya mainly in July and August of each year.
