Join Wamba Gorilla Tours in this journey of a lifetime. This tour will take you through Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Lake Bunyonyi, and Lake Mburo National Park. It will bring you close to Uganda’s exclusive primates and apes, most of the outstanding being mountain gorillas and chimpanzees with amazing communities.
During this tour, you will be accommodated at Cassia Lodge, Primate Lodge, Elephant Plains Lodge, Gorilla Mist Camp, Acadia Lodge, and Cassia Lodge.
You will be welcomed by a representative of Wamba Gorilla Tours, whom you will find at the airport holding a post with your name on it. He will then transfer you to Cassia Lodge for relaxation. Your driver guide will be on standby just in case you need to visit a café, shopping mall, or any place for a drink depending on your time of arrival.
After breakfast you checkout and head to Fort Portal. The drive is 6 hours but will provide you with some stunning views and stops as you pass small African villages and banana plantations. The town of Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon and is famous for the many tea plantations and the cool weather.
After a hearty lunch with some relaxation you shall transfer to the Bigodi Swamp for a nature walk. The Bigodi swamp walk is an initiative of the local community and takes approximately two hours. The swamp is known for its rich diversity of birds and primates. Later in the evening you shall return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge.
Today the forest opens its doors for a sensational chimp trekking. Kibale Forest is reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black and white colobus monkey and many others. Later, you will return for lunch and embark on a road trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
You shall stop to see Amabeere Caves and the surrounding Explosion Crater Lakes near Fort Portal town which will make your visit to the area a most interesting adventure arriving late in the evening.
Dinner and overnight at Elephant Plains Lodge.
The day begins early as you head for the mating ground of the Uganda kobs. You search for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat. In the afternoon you take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. Thanks to the elephants, buffaloes and hundreds of hippos, this cruise will definitely be another highlight of your safari.

After breakfast, you will depart to the southern sector of the park, called Ishasha and known for the tree-climbing lions. Within the park it is likely that you will have time to spot for some wildlife like tree climbing lions, black and white colobus monkeys, kobs and topies, waterbucks and warthogs and later embark on a trip to Bwindi.
Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Mist Camp.
The highlight of your safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! Especially hikers will love the gorilla trekking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. It is difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike, it may take two to eight hours. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. But it will definitely be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play, pass by your side and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience!
For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these giant apes.
Dinner and overnight at Acadia Lodge.
You will depart for Lake Mburo National Park after breakfast. You will enjoy on a game drive through Lake Mburo National Park in search of animals such as the eland, topis, impalas, zebras and many more with a chance to see some colorful beautiful birds in the evening fly to their resting places. You will have lunch at Rwakobo Rock and continue to Kampala with a stopover at the equator for memorable pictures.
Dinner and overnight at Cassia Lodge.
After breakfast your driver/guide picks you up for Kampala City tour to explore some of the major historical sites of this beautiful country and of course some shopping.
Enriched with an experience of a lifetime and unforgettable memories you will say goodbye to the Pearl of Africa. Depending on the time of departure you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home. Wamba Gorilla Tours are looking forward to seeing you again!
