Day 1: Okavango Delta
Your professional guide will meet you upon your arrival at Maun Airport (MUB) and guide you to the vehicle. Then, transfer to the mokoro station for approximately a 1-hour drive where you will meet the qualified community guide and poler. They will pole you around the water channels as you are heading to the camping spot in the delta.
Lunch can be arranged for you on your arrival in Maun. The camp staff will set up the camp. There will be enough time for you to relax and refresh, then have dinner before your good night's sleep under canvas.
Please note that on your mokoro excursion into the delta, due to weight restrictions on the canoes, you cannot carry the full-service camp, so you will use 3x3 meter dome tents with a mattress on the ground. You will have a separate shower and toilet enclosure near your tent.
Day 2: Okavango Delta
Have an early breakfast, then take an early morning mokoro trip along the beautiful Okavango waterways. It is a true wilderness experience. During the day, you will stop at an island for lunch and a walk, then take a relaxing pole back to the camp where you will rest and refresh. Later, have dinner under the star before sleeping under the canvas.
Day 3: Okavango Delta to Moremi
Wake up early in the morning for a light breakfast then depart from the Okavango Delta. You will go on mokoro to the mokoro station where you will find unlimited tours and safaris with a professional guide and vehicle. Then, you start your trip to Moremi.
Expect a 1-hour drive from mokoro station to Maun and approximately a 3 to 4-hour drive to Moremi depending on what you will see on your way there. A light lunch will be served en route. The camp staff will set up your camp. There will be enough time for you to relax and refresh, then have dinner before your good night's sleep under canvas.
Day 4: Moremi Game Reserve
Wake up early for a morning activity after a light breakfast, then go back to the camp for relaxation and delicious brunch. You will freshen up and have your siesta, followed by high tea, and get ready for an afternoon activity. This will be followed by dinner and a good night's sleep under canvas.
Day 5: Moremi Game Reserve to Khwai
Wake up early at around 06:00 for a light breakfast, then go for your last morning game drive in Moremi. On your return, you will have brunch and then depart to Khwai, where the camp staff will set up your campsite. You will have time to rest and freshen up, then go for an afternoon game drive for your introduction to some of the animals in Khwai. Later, enjoy dinner before sleeping under canvas.
Day 6: Khwai
Wake up in the morning for a light breakfast before your full-day game drive in Khwai. Khwai is a private concession. Khwai will give you the opportunity to explore the concessions after dark with spotlights. This offers you an opportunity to experience seeing some of the nocturnal animals that are rarely encountered during the day.
You will also have the opportunity to explore the surrounding wilderness on foot and enjoy an up close and personal encounter with Botswana’s flora and fauna. Packed lunch and snacks will be carried with you because you are going to spend lunchtime in the bush and return for a shower before dinner in the evening.
Day 7: Khwai to Savuti
Wake up around 06:00 for your desired breakfast, then check out to head to Savuti. This will be in a form of a game drive. It is approximately a 6-hour drive and your packed lunch will be served en route. On arrival, you will find the camp has already been set up by the camp staff. There will be enough time for you to relax and refresh, then join an introduction game drive in Savuti. Later, have dinner before your good night's sleep under canvas.
Day 8: Savuti
Wake up in the morning for a light breakfast before starting a full-day game drive in Savuti. Considering the fact that this place has been without water for more than 30 years and since it recovered from the dryness 4 years ago, it is so amazing to see how the game is good in this area. Packed lunch and snacks will be carried with you because you are going to spend lunchtime in the bush and return for a shower before dinner in the evening.
Day 9: Savuti to Chobe National Park
After you spend your nights at the Savuti Channel, you travel northwards and check into a nice lodge in the area or install the camp near the Chobe River. This journey will take approximately 5 hours.
Chobe is famous for its beautiful scenery and magnificent sunsets. The largest elephant population (approximately 30,000) in Africa lives in the region and you may have the opportunity to watch herds of elephant drinking at the river.
You will aim to reach Chobe so that the evening will be spent on the river cruise on the Chobe if you want (at an extra cost). This will make a nice change to the game-drive vehicle and give you lots of elephants and other animals in a fantastic sunset on the river. You are recommended to take the sunset cruise as it is a really special experience, seeing all the elephants coming down to drink while the sun sets over the river.
If you want to do the sunset river cruise, you will stay overnight at a local lodge to accommodate this. All campsites are inside the national park, which means you have to be at your campsite at 19:00. So, you are not able to do the sunset cruise and get back to camp in time. If you opt to not go on the additional boat cruise, you will go for an afternoon game drive in the area.
Day 10: Chobe
Early wake up for your last morning game drive in Chobe, then you will end the safari in Kasane in time for your onward journey or transfer to Victoria Falls.
