Day 1: Nairobi
Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. You can spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel Boulevard on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2: Nairobi - Amboseli National Park (250 kilometers / 4 hours)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be met and briefed by a driver-guide and depart to Amboseli National Park. Upon entering the park, the driver will open the roof of your bus so you can stand up with the wind in your hair.
Welcome to Africa. The safari has begun! If the weather is clear, you’ll catch sight of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro directly ahead. You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and later enjoy time for relaxation before setting off back into the park for your afternoon game drive. Then, return to the camp as the sun sets and you will have an overnight at Sentrim Amboseli or something similar.
Day 3: Amboseli National Park
On this day, you will have a morning and afternoon game drive in the park. You will be taken across this vast lakebed often dry, but still very swampy in areas. Amboseli is best known for its great herds of elephants and you will often find many of them standing knee-deep in the water, spraying themselves to keep cool. But there are a lot of other games here too such as cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, many types of gazelle, and other plains games. It is all set against the amazing backdrop of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. Later, you will have an overnight at stay Sentrim Amboseli or similar.
Day 4: Amboseli to Lake Naivasha (250 kilometers / 5 hours)
After breakfast, depart to Naivasha. Arrive for lunch at Mwanzo Lodge. Later in the afternoon, you will be transferred to the lake for a 1-hour boat ride. Dinner and overnight at Naivasha Mwanzo Lodge or similar.
Day 5: Naivasha - Maasai Mara National Reserve (280 kilometers / 5 hours)
After breakfast at the hotel, depart to Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will be heading across acres of rolling wheat and barley farms to Narok, the district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. From here, cross the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley whilst keeping an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle before heading up the rift escarpment.
You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and later enjoy time for relaxation before setting off back into the park for your afternoon game drive. Then. return to the lodge as the sun sets and have an overnight stay at Drunken Elephant Camp or similar.
Day 6: Maasai Mara National Reserve
Full-day game drive in the Maasai Mara. In the heartland of the Maasai people, interact with pure culture and traditions. The landscape of huge rolling plains, woodlands, riverine forests and hills is home to millions of animals. Its famous Mara River plays host to the annual wildebeest migration spectacle. The reserve is also a bird’s paradise with over 450 different species. Return to the lodge as the sun sets and have an overnight at Drunken Elephant Camp or similar.
Day 7: Maasai Mara - Nairobi (280 kilometers / 5 hours)
After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi to catch up with your flight back home.
