During this safari, you will spend your night at various lodges provided by Ultimate Africa Expeditions. On your first night during your safari in Tsavo East, you will be staying at Lion Hill Lodge or similar on full board basis. On your second night, you will be accommodated at Amboseli AA Lodge or similar on full board basis. On your last night, you will be staying at Rhino Valley Lodge or similar on full board basis.
Lion Hill Lodge
Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is nestled along the Lion Hill overlooking the spectacular flamingo pink rimmed Lake Nakuru. Its location affords panoramic views of the lake and the picturesque Lake Nakuru National Park. A short two-hour drive from Nairobi, Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is a favorite with residents and visitors to Kenya. The Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is cleverly laid out in such a way that most rooms and sitting areas afford stunning views of the lake and the park.
The lodge incorporates natural landscaping with tall acacia trees, winding walkways, and greens dotted with bird feeds. Amboseli AA Lodge
AA Amboseli Lodge is built in a three-tier architectural design and is strategically located two kilometers from Amboseli National Park's main gate (Kimana Gate) and conveniently within the Emali-Loitoktok tarmac road. It is 240 kilometers from Nairobi, 16 kilometers from Amboseli airstrip, 20 kilometers from the Emali, 20 kilometers from the Emali-Loitoktok tarmac road and commands a panoramic view of the snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, the world’s highest free standing mountain. With a total of 98 rooms, the lodge is intimate and friendly with many personal touches.
Rhino Valley Lodge
The Rhino Valley Lodge has 16 rooms all self contained rooms with a private veranda, and a great view of animals in the near pool.
Program
Day 1: Mombasa - Tsavo East National Park (245 kilometers / 152 miles / 4 hours)
After having an early breakfast, you will be picked up from your beach hotel and depart to Tsavo East National Park (12,000 square kilometers). Upon entering the park, the driver will open the roof of your bus, so you can stand up with the wind in your hair. Tsavo is the largest national park in Kenya and is split into East and West by the highway.
You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and later, you can enjoy time for relaxation before setting off back into the park for your afternoon game drive. Then, you will return to the lodge as the sun sets. Later, you will have an overnight at Lion Hill Lodge or similar on full board basis.
Day 2: Tsavo East National Park - Amboseli National Park (315 kilometers / 196 miles / 5 hours)
After having an early breakfast, you will depart to Amboseli National Park. If the weather is clear, you’ll catch sight of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro directly ahead. While entering the gate, you will be enjoying a game viewing on route to your camp. Then, you will arrive in time for lunch. After some time for relaxation or a dipping in the inviting swimming pool, you will be set out to the national park for a game drive. Later, you will return to the camp as the sun sets and have an overnight at Amboseli AA Lodge or similar on full board basis.
Day 3: Amboseli National Park - Tsavo West National Park (200 kilometers / 124 miles / 3 hours)
After having breakfast, you will depart with game drive en route to Tsavo West National Park. Then, you will check in and have lunch at the lodge. Later in the afternoon, there will be a game drive in the park. Afterward, you will return to the lodge as the sun sets. Then, you will have an overnight at Rhino Valley Lodge or similar on full board basis.
Day 4: Tsavo West National Park - Mombasa (370 kilometers / 230 miles / 5 hours)
After having breakfast at the lodge, you will drive back to the beach hotel and be arriving late in the afternoon. That is the end of the safari services.
