Enjoying safaris in Aberdare National Park, Shaba National Reserve, Samburu National Reserve, Lake Nakuru National Park, Maasai Mara National Reserve, and Amboseli National Park will be your special thing in Kenya. So, pack your bag and prepare for the adventurous safari!
During this safari, you will stay at Sarova Stanley Hotel, Aberdare Country Club, Sarova Shaba Game Lodge, The Ark Lodge, Sarova Lion Hill Lodge, Tipilikwani Luxury Mara Camp, and Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge.
Jambo-karibu! Twiga Tours representatives will warmly meet you upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) with the traditional, unique, and special welcome (bubbly, wet towels and presentation of authentic safari hat as well as a beautiful authentic canvas pouch filled with safari essentials). Twiga Tours will then transfer you to the Sarova Stanley Hotel, located in the heart of the central business district. Overnight at the hotel.
Depart Nairobi after breakfast and drive north through the cool Kenya highlands via Nyeri town to arrive at Aberdare Country Club in time for lunch. You will take a rest of the afternoon at leisure enjoying the beautiful views from the club or taking a walk within the sanctuary that boasts of lots of giraffes among other herbivorous wildlife. Dinner and overnight at the club.
You will enjoy breakfast at the club then proceed further north to Shaba National Reserve arriving at the Sarova Shaba Game Lodge to a warm welcome then lunch. You will enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive.
The greater Samburu region is the best place to find several endemic northern species, including the gerenuk (twiga gazelle) due to her long neck, the beisa oryx, the reticulated giraffe, the Somali ostrich, and Grevy’s zebra. Samburu is also an ornithological paradise, home to many birds including local species such as the palm-nut-vulture and the vivacious dove. Enjoy dinner and overnight at your lodge.
After your hearty breakfast, you will depart for a full day game viewing with picnic boxes to the rugged Samburu and Buffalo Springs National Reserve. Leopards are often seen at dusk. The Samburu culture is a truly fascinating one, sharing a great deal of ancestral and linguistic ties to the Maasai.
The entire Samburu region is a place of breathtaking and magical beauty, a place where the vision of a deep red sunset silhouetting the doum palms along the river as a leopard emerges to hunt brings the perfect end to a day on safari. You will return back to Shaba National Reserve for dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Enjoy breakfast at your lodge, depart, thereafter have a short game en-route. Drive towards the Aberdare National Park to arrive for lunch at the Aberdare Country Club where you will leave most of your bulky luggage and transfer in the club’s shuttle into the park to the Ark Lodge.
An accompanied professional guide will be on hand to share valuable information about the history of the lodge, the Aberdare National Park, and wildlife. Arrive to a warm welcome and check-in. Afternoon is spent viewing wildlife from the lodge’s decks overlooking the waterhole. After dinner, guests can still enjoy the views of the floodlight waterhole to watch the nocturnal wildlife that comes around. Overnight at the lodge.
This morning after breakfast, you drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park with a brief stop at the Thompson's Falls for a breathtaking view of the great scenery.
You will arrive in time for lunch. You will arrive at the lodge to a very warm welcome, check in, then lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. This afternoon, you will depart on a game viewing drive to introduce you to the game in the area. Enjoy dinner and overnight at the lodge.
After breakfast, you will proceed on a long morning game viewing drive within the park. Some of the interesting places to visit include the Baboon Cliff, the lion hill, and the Mau Escarpment. The park is one of the best game viewing parks with various animal species including prides of lion, Cape buffalo, waterbucks, warthogs, the endangered Rothschild giraffes, the black and white rhino, the Burchell's zebra, impalas, and the elusive leopards among many others.
Over 300 bird species have been recorded here too. Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the best places to see the endangered black and white Rhino. Enjoy dinner and overnight at the lodge.
You will have a hearty early morning breakfast then drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. You will arrive at the intimate, 20-tent Tipilikwani Camp to a very warm welcome for lunch and some leisure. This afternoon is the moment you have been longing for. You will depart on an exciting game viewing drive.
The rolling plains and grasslands, stretching far into the horizons as far as the eye can see, are home to the black-maned lion, the savannah elephant, the Cape buffalo, wildebeests, the elusive leopards, cheetahs, the spotted and striped hyena, the rhino, topi, Burchell's zebra, and the Maasai giraffe among many others. The Maasai Mara National Reserve is one that can never disappoint.
One is spoilt by the variety of bird and wildlife species in this game reserve. For a long time, Maasai Mara National Reserve has stubbed her authority as the ‘granary’ of wildlife in Kenya. You will return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
After having sumptuous breakfasts, you will depart for a full day adventure. Be on the look-out for the big five that Maasai Mara is famous for. These include the lion, savannah (African) elephant, the Cape buffalo, the leopard, and the black rhino. In the early 20th century, Kenya was a famous hunting destination. Killing any of the big five games is one pride, a sense of class, and a feeling of heroism. You may even be so lucky to witness a leopard or a cheetah sprint and make a kill. You will return back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
You will enjoy a hearty breakfast then depart back to Nairobi to arrive in the early afternoon in time for lunch. Later, you will proceed to Karen area on the outskirts of Nairobi and visit the farmhouse of Karen Blixen, author of the Out of Africa.
You will experience the local wildlife first hand as you have the opportunity to feed the endangered Rothschild giraffes from a raised platform of the Giraffe Sanctuary. Thereafter, you will drop back to your hotel for overnight booked on bed and breakfast.
You will enjoy an early morning breakfast then depart via the Namanga border to Amboseli National Park. You will arrive at the lodge to a very warm welcome and check-in then lunch. You will depart on an afternoon game viewing drive. Amboseli National Park is home to lion, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, baboon, gazelle hippo, and wildebeest among many others. It is also an ornithological paradise with over 400 species of birds, flora and fauna, and some of the most soul-searing views in Africa. You will enjoy dinner and overnight at your lodge.
You will enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing drives. Amboseli National Park offers some of the most breathtaking views of Africa. Its scenery, one of the best places for a photogenic view of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting), is next to none. This is best seen on a clear day. Amboseli National Park provides the classic Hollywood image of Africa. The park is famous for its large herds of giant elephants. Enjoy meals and overnight at the lodge.
This morning, you will enjoy your breakfast then check-out. Unbelievable but true, your good bush moments have come to an end. You bid farewell to your wonderful lodge manager and his team then depart back to Nairobi, not with empty handed though. There will be photographs, a capture of the special moments you have had on this tour to immortalize the experience. The guide-driver will transfer you to the Carnivore Restaurant for lunch then on to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) for your home-bound flight.
This safari will take place in Nairobi, Aberdares / Mweiga, Shaba National Reserve, Aberdare National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park, Maasai Mara National Reserve, and Amboseli National Park.
