On your first three nights, you will stay in Bukit Lawang. Moreover, you will stay in Berastagi on your fourth night. For the last two nights, accommodation will be in Samosir Island.
Your guide will pick you up at Kualanamu International Airport (KNO) and will take you to Bukit Lawang. It will take three to four hours of driving from Medan Airport Pass via Binjai and Kuala villages. Upon arrival in Bukit Lawang, check-in in the hotel.
Today will be a full day jungle trekking starting at 8:30 a.m. from your guesthouse. You will spend six hours to explore the tropical rainforest. You will see some wildlife animals in the jungle like orangutans, gibbons, peacocks, squirrels, a variety
of monkeys, bird, insects, and plants.
Departing from Bukit Lawang towards Tangkahan and relax while enjoying the crystal clear waters of the river. There are hidden airpanas for some people, and occasionally you can see large wild fish in the river. There is also a waterfall. You will trek to see the elephants and wash them in the river. After this activity, you will return to Bukit Lawang in the hotel.
This day, you will go to Berastagi. The trip will take five to six hours of travel. You will stay overnight in Berastagi.
After breakfast, you will head for Lake Toba by passing Berastagi and stopping in to see the fruit market. Then you will move towards Sipisopiso Waterfalls. Arrive at Lake Toba in the afternoon and you will cross the lake to get to Samosir. You will stay overnight in Samosir.
After breakfast, you will start the tour around Samosir Island. Visit the Ambarita Village and Simanindo to see the Batak Museum and the Batak traditional dance performance at 10:30 a.m. After the performance, you will visit another village to see sarong / ulos or Batak blanket maker. You can stop for lunch before going back to the accommodation in the afternoon.
Transfer back to Kualanamu International Airport (KNO) which will take six to seven hours. This will be the last day of your tour with Trekking Orangutan Sumatra.
