Location

Kathmandu

Kathmandu is the capital and largest urban agglomerate of Nepal. The city stands at an elevation of approximately 1,400 meters (4,600 feet) in the bowl-shaped Kathmandu Valley of central Nepal. It is surrounded by four major mountains: Shivapuri, Phulchoki, Nagarjun, and Chandragiri. Kathmandu Valley is part of three districts (Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur).

Chitwan National Park

Chitwan National Park is the first national park in Nepal. It was established in 1973 and granted the status of a World Heritage Site in 1984. It covers an area of 932 square kilometers (360 square miles) and is located in the subtropical Inner Terai lowlands of south-central Nepal in the Chitwan District. In altitude, it ranges from about 100 meters (330 feet) in the river valleys to 815 meters (2,674 feet) in the Churia Hills. In the north and west of the protected area the Narayani-Rapti river system forms a natural boundary to human settlements.

Pokhara Valley

Pokhara city is located approximately 200 kilometers west of the country's capital, Kathmandu. It serves as the headquarters of Kaski District, Gandaki Zone, and the Western Development Region. Pokhara is the most popular tourist destination in Nepal. Three out of the ten highest mountains in the world: Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I and Manaslu are within 30 miles (linear distance) of the city so that the northern skyline of the city offers a very close view of the Himalayas. Pokhara is the largest tourist city in the country and home to great Himalayan trails.

Fewa lake and Taal Barah Temple

Fewa Lake is the second largest lake in Nepal. The Annapurna range on the north is only about 28 kilometers (linear distance) away from the lake, and the lake is famous for the reflection of mount Machhapuchhre and other mountain peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges on its surface. The Taal Barahi Temple is situated on an island in the lake.

Sarangkot

Sarangkot is a village and famous tourist destination in Nepal. The village is located on a mountainside ridge at an altitude of 1,600 meters with panoramic Himalayan views. From Sarankot, in the northern direction, you can see Dhawalagiri in the far West. Annapurna range is visible when the weather is clear on the same side. On the southern direction, the village overlooks the city of Pokhara and its lake on the north-western outskirts of the city

Bindyabasani Temple

Bindyabasani Temple is the oldest temple of Pokhara and the royal Deity of Kingdom of Kaski. Along with religious significance, the magnificent view of Annapurna and Fishtail Mountain can be seen from here.

Devis fall

Devis Falls is a waterfall located at Pokhara. The water from the fall flow about 500 feet through the natural tunnel at the depth of 100 feet from ground level. The water passes through the cave called Gupteshwor Mahadev cave. The source of water is provided through the dam of Phewa Lake and in the rainy seasons, the rise in the water level increases the flow and density of water in this fall. The natural scenery is very impressive.

Gupteshwor Mahadev cave

Gupteshwor Mahadev cave is probably the longest and attractive cave in south Asia which is located at the northwestern part of Pokhara. Inside the cave, there is a temple of Gupteshwor Mahadev.
