This six-day tour is the perfect mix of game drives and cultural experiences that let you experience the best of Tanzania complete with a mix of tented camps or “glamping”. This tour also includes authentic cultural visits - including a medicine walk with the pastoralist tribe, the Maasai, and a visit to their traditional home, known as a boma. This safari will take you through Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Arusha.

Outpost Lodge

Outpost Lodge is a family owned lodge and provide clean and comfortable accommodation at reasonable rates. It is situated in a leafy residential area close to the town center, around 20 minutes’ walk or five minutes’ drive to the clock tower roundabout. You will be staying here on the first and last night of the safari.

Tarangire Safari Lodge

The quintessential safari tents, with thatched roofs and large, mesh-screened windows, provide the perfect opportunity to connect with the sights and sounds of nature. Each tent has a comfortable verandah, ideal for bird and game viewing or reading your favorite book after a dusty safari.

With a choice of twin, double, or triple accommodation, all tents are equipped with en-suite bathrooms with solar-heated showers, ample cupboard space for your gear, and a cultural touch of local textiles. You will be staying here on the second night of the safari.

Isoitok Camp Manyara

The permanent tents are thoughtfully located with plenty of bush and natural fencing to give you the seclusion and privacy you need for your getaway. With only eight luxury tents you are assured of privacy, very personal services and that special African bush experience that you had always dreamed it to be. ou will be staying here on the third and fourth night of the safari.


Day 1: Arrival at Arusha

You’ll be collected from the airport and brought to your accommodation for the night, Outpost Lodge.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast at your lodge, you’ll depart by 8 a.m. and make your way to Tarangire National Park for a full day of game drives. Accommodation overnight inside the national park at Tarangire Safari Lodge, overlooking the Tarangire River.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park

Today is your second day of game drives inside Tarangire National Park. Today you’ll head to area known as small Serengeti - Silale Swamp. During the rainy season, this area acts as a catchment for water and supplies water for much of the park’s wildlife during the dry season.

You can expect to see large herds of elephants here as well as a range of other wildlife. Keep an eye out for leopards and lions up on the limbs of a tree. You’ll exit the park in the afternoon and make your way to Isoitok Camp for dinner and overnight, about a one-hour drive.

Day 4: Maasai boma and bike ride at Lake Manyara

Wake up at 6:30 a.m. and walk to a nearby Maasai boma (home) to experience what traditional life is like for the African continents most infamous tribe. After the cows leave for pasture, enjoy a traditional medicine walk before returning to the lodge for brunch at 10 a.m.

The rest of the morning is yours to enjoy before you depart the lodge and make your way to the base of the Rift Valley to a village for an afternoon bike ride along the Rift Valley towards Lake Manyara. Return to Isoitok Camp for cocktails while watching the sunset over Lake Manyara. Dinner and overnight at Isoitok Camp.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

Today is another early morning, making your way to the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is a 100 square miles natural amphitheater hosting to an astonishing array of wildlife and you may be lucky enough to see all the Big Five; rhino, elephant, buffaloes, leopard, and lion, as well as large herds of zebra.

Descend the crater by 8:30 a.m. and enjoy a day of game drives before ascending the crater in the late afternoon and driving the two and half hours back to Arusha. Dinner and overnight at Outpost Lodge.

Day 6: Arusha and departure

Today is a town tour of Arusha. You’ll visit the social enterprise Shanga which employs people with disabilities to create beautiful gifts made from recycled glass. You have the option of taking a traditional beading class with the women from Sidai Designs or doing a morning horseback ride at the base of Mount Meru at a minimal additional cost. In the afternoon you’ll be taken to the airport to catch your international flight.

Tarangire National Park

This is one of Africa's most underrated parks. Elephants dot the landscape like cattle; it has the second highest concentration of wildlife after the Serengeti and reportedly the highest concentration of elephants in the world. With over 450 species of bird, it is also arguably the best bird watching destination in Tanzania.

Lake Manyara National Park

The dramatic western escarpment of the Rift Valley forms the park’s western border. To the east is the alkaline Lake Manyara, which hosts millions of flamingos during the rains. Lake Manayara is also host to the famous tree climbing lions

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

The 8,292 square kilometer Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) in the Southern Serengeti has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for many reasons. Its rich variation in climate, landforms, and altitudes allow for several distinct and overlapping ecosystems, allowing for a truly unique game drive.

The NCA also contains crucial palaeontological evidence of human evolution. The Ngorongoro Crater itself was formed from the eruption of a mountain that once dwarfed Kilimanjaro, and contains a rich ecosystem teaming with Wildlife inside it's walls and home to highest concentration of predators in the world. The crater is not only a UNESCO world heritage site but is also home to 16 endangered black rhinos.


Tanzania is the largest country in East Africa with over 945, 203 square kilometers. Almost a third of the country is protected for wildlife viewing and it hosts some of the largest game parks on the continent. Safari is a way of life here in Tanzania.

The country is home to approximately 120 different tribal groups. The dominant religions are Christianity and Islam, the latter especially along the coast. The official languages of the country are Swahili and English, however many indigenous languages are still spoken. Arabic is widely spoken in the coastal areas and Zanzibar.

Each part of the country is vastly different and unique. Offering everything from an endless savannah and the majestic crater to lush green jungles and sparkling turquoise water. Tanzania is sure to please just about every adventurer out there.
