Join Tarakwai Safaris on a yoga safari that will energize, awaken, ground, and transform you, in a way that only Africa can! Experience diverse wildlife set against breathtaking landscapes and connect with vibrant local communities rich in culture. In the final leg of your journey, retreat to tranquil Zanzibar, where your yoga practice will deepen, fostering greater self-discovery and a sense of interconnectedness.
You'll stay in luxurious safari camps as well as in a beautiful villa right on stunning Jambiani Beach. For the safari portion, your first night will be in a private room, with shared twin rooms for the remaining four nights. During the last six nights in Zanzibar, you will have a private occupancy garden view or ocean view room.
Tarakwai Safaris is very particular with the accommodations they select on safari because they understand how important it is after a full day of driving and walking in the bush to come back to comfort and relaxation.
They avoid the larger chain-style lodges, instead preferring smaller, more intimate places often built to blend in with the natural environment - where the sounds of nature will soothe body and mind.
These lodges and camps, though in the middle of the Tanzanian bush, remarkably offer most of the comforts you need, like comfortable beds, hot showers, and private bathrooms. Each ensuite safari cottage / tent sleeps two and opens up at the front to beautiful views of the surrounding African bush and savannah. Everyone can enjoy fireside, starlit evenings, and dining together.
Located in the heart of Arusha City, Haradali Home offers a unique experience that will bring you closer to the rich tapestry of Tanzanian culture. The name 'Haradali' is inspired by the beautiful Haradali trees that dot the landscape, and it reflects the commitment to offering a harmonious and welcoming environment.
Kirurumu Tarangire Lodge is built on the site of the old Tamarind Camp, looking out on a flood plain that is seasonally a rich feeding ground for elephant and much else.
The camp is set in a rich wild savannah bush location with an altitude of 1,075 meters above sea level. It backs onto the Losimingorti mountain range, acting as a natural wildlife corridor from the Ngorongoro highlands. It also extends through to Manyara Conservancy and on into Tarangire National Park.
Isoitok Camp Manyara offers a little more than just a place to put your head in after a busy day of safaris and other activities, and they do urge you to slow down to fully appreciate the essence and importance of time relaxing and soaking in the African bush and her sounds, with a few nights under canvas with them at the camp.
There, time will completely be on your side to forget work and recharge your internal batteries, so you can actually leave Tanzania not needing another holiday once you get home.
